It's been said by the barrage of posts after mine, but get it. For me this allows for the depth of GT (and perhaps even more), without being as overwhelming and 'serious'. Add to that the genius editing mode (have a look here) and you just can't afford not to give it a go.

Oh yeah, and it's going for ?29.99 at the moment at a couple of places.

Unfortunately I don't have 6 hours to bid on an auction with 2 minutes remaining, seriously, what the hell is that about? If its 2 minutes then it should be 2 minutes only.
That's the funny thing about these auctions, they seem to rolling and only time out when no more bids have been received. For a real world parallel, the Elite League auction off their play-off jerseys every year via online, and they have a rolling system. Every new bid resets the countdown to about 5 minutes. A total pain in the rrrs. You can be winning with 40 seconds to go then some smug creep outbids you, so you have to go higher again and keep watching that damn timer reset.

        Excellent!
Heh. I did exactly the same thing when racing that circuit. More than once!

Loving ths game so far but need a bit of help,

When at the start of a race, and it's GO! I accelerate but my car skids a hell of a lot untill gear 4. I aint got aids on i know, but i wondered if there was some thing to tune that would help this?

          Cheers!

I take it you're shod with race tyres, Malc..?

Let go of the accelerator and then put it back on? Or change up really fast.

plus you have to ease in the throttle, if you pull it fully on you slide, you need to find the grip point then when you get it bring in some more revs.

I did upgrade my tyres, i though okay i'm trying to make an all out race car, so i'll upgrade everything. But kept the spec's as close as possible to the real life car.

I know about easing on the Gas, but i thought there would be an 'proper solution' to this? Cause really other powerfull cars don't slide as much as mine?

oh and it's an Aston Martin DB9, tuned up into an DBR9.

Agree with taking it easy on the throttle. I find it's a must when using the American muscle cars.

Is yours front wheel drive? Rear wheel drive cars get the power down better.

I think the Aston Martin DB9 is rear wheel drive.

Does anybody else have any problems with the triggers in the menus?

Whenever I press LT, it sporadically keeps flickering through the menues like it's repeatedly being tapped, i'm using a wireless controller.

I would have figured that's just the realism of the game...if you whack your foot to the floor in your car, you will wheelspin at a junction, think how much more powerful these cars are. I would have guessed you are revving too much on the "GO!!!"...try keeping it about halfway and if you feel it start to kick out then release the accelerator and hit it again.

Silvergun, I thought that was a feature? If you have like 30 cars, hit the right trigger and it'll go all the way to the end right, hit LT and it'll go back to the first one...

Thanks anyway everyone, i might keep tampering with the tuning, maybe change the gears slightly.
