I wonder if you got enough speed with the right launch angle on you could jump it

I traded a **** load of PS2 games i haven't played for years and a couple of 360 games in this weekend. It cam to around £70, so bought forza plus £30 back.

Im really enjoying it, loads better than the demo. Only thing is i've found it a bit easy. I tend to upgrade my cars and tune them to the specific track, and haven't found the AI to be a threat, only time its ever slightly close is on the same car no tune races.

Its not all good though. Where are the touge style races? and there should be more tracks. Im concerned about getting bored of it due to lack of tracks

I just hope they give us Forza 3 next year with more content. Thats where Grant Turismo Excels imo.

what id really really like to see though is the ability to actually Map an engine. plus being able to pick specific parts, like a GT40 instead of a GT35 to increase top end power. Or lower compression ratios etc..

But anyway im really liking it. Haven't ventured online as yet. Im concentrating on going through Single player first.

Just reading the game stats it says 45 tracks from 12 enviroments - Do I presume that is 12 tracks with 45 different varients of them ?

Really must pick this up with all the pos reviews. It's a shame that the old out horsepower your competition is still there in the single player game, something which has haunted GT from the start, but I guess that it is just a mater of self control of what car you enter with.

@Rick: You get less credits for beating them with a maxed up car, so there is an incentive to not go out of the race class. Also, are you playing on champion mode? If so and you find it easy, then kudos.

There are a lot of races which are limited to horsepower and/or class of car

plus the fact that upgrading to high power costs more money

Yeah as all us GT players no though, the further through the game you get the less money becomes an issue, and every part is pilled onto the car. The lower credit level which Charles mentions for an over classed car, certainly sounds like quite a good balancing effect. I also like the way damage effects your credit as well !

Once you get to the R class cars, you can't upgrade them. But also, if you get all your cars and stick turbos on, you'll be precluded from a lot of the races, e.g. normally aspirated only races. Or cars above or below certain weights (so your specially lightened car won't be eligable), or cars with no more than xxBHP etc etc.

The idea is to have a mix of cars in your garage. Also when you go online, the game will normally be restricted to a car class, so if all your cars have been upgraded out of class, you'll have to use the standard cars which will leave you floundering, unless everyone has agreed to use the standard cars.

I just tend to make sure i've got a competative car. I only tend to upgrade the power if im really at a disadvantage.
I don't like being half a lap ahead because I've tuned the bollocks off a car because its boring. But its still good now and again
I didn't know about the class credits thing.

I don't know if im playing on Champion mode or not?

Go to the career mode and scroll all the way to the right "set difficulty".

And has anyone else noticed how when you first switch it on: "saving game". Er.... what could it possibly be saving Mental.

                        can you turn autosave off?

I wanted to tune a VXR Astra up, but can't because i don't want to lose the money.

Nope, don't upgrade till you can afford it.

I own an Asta SXi sports hatch so this is also top of my 'to do' list

Also, how do you edit registration plates?

I just completed the Six-Cylinder challenge, and nailed New York with hitting cars, or the edges of the track etc, but was awarded 0cr for Damage. Bug, or something I am missing?
