Don't think anyones mentioned this but I'm finding the load times for races quite poor.

Yeah they can be slow at times. Its annoying when you just want to restart and it takes its time as well. Small price to pay though when the tracks look so lovely i guess.
How is everyone getting on with this now then? Ive got my career driver level up to about 23 i think and completed my first pro race series last night, which i won.
There are so many events to enter though and i must admit to finding some a little tedious due to the slight variations of the tracks. Im kind of ploughing through career mode with a view to earning money, buying parts, and then customisning cars to take for the races online, which are starting to get really decent now i know moer of the tracks and their variants.
I also did a couple of time trials last night. Set an ok time on Maple Valley short, and had a few runs on Atlanta short, but couldnt seem to string my best sections together so only an average time on that one. Think it will be the time trials and online racing that will keep me hooked on this, with carreer events dipped in and out of.

I dip into the career mode when no-ones online, but tbh it's just to unlock more stuff to race around in multiplayer.

I've got a couple of monster cars I've been working on. An integrale which is only 298bhp but I managed to win the 400bhp inivtational(?) races with it. Albeit with a Tuscan S up my arse on the straights due to the gearbox. That and a Lotus Exige that i've managed to setup beautifully. They both go round corners like they are glued to the road.

Aaaah..
Unless these assists restrict you in some way?

Most of the cars featured would have, ABS especially, as standard and you would not be able to switch it off in the real world. Stability control in games is usually over the top and spoils the handling characteristics but a little bit of traction and abs is only going to help you go faster, just ask the F1 boys

Most "true" drivers will insist that they do, but most top level motor sport seems to be moving ahead with them not without. Personally from the demo only I'd be playing this with ABS atleast ! I remember from the demo that allot told me to use the pump brake method to slow, which I find a little pointless when ABS is there to do just that.
At the end of the day it would all be down to personal preference though !Last edited by Simmy; 14-06-2007, 09:53.

The main car I'm having trouble with is the Top Secret Supra. It has no grip and infinite power, so TSC might be the only way.
In the real world, you can brake harder if the ABS doesn't kick in. The F1 guys just use it in case they over cook it. They don't rely on it. Not sure if it's the same in Forza because I haven't tried it yet.
