Very well actually. I've already got an achievement for playing with Vista players.

I've always been better with a pad, but for the guys on the PC who are demons at mouse and keyboard I bet they're quicker because of how fast they can turn with a mouse.

There have been adjustments / balances made so that the PC players who can turn quicker, get a far more distorted aim/accuracy than if they turn at the same speed as 360 players, etc.

WTF? You serious? They really don't want PC users playing this do they lol, from what I've heard it's vista exclusive (hardly anyone uses vista at the moment), costs money to play with those on live AND they punish PC users just because they can use a keyboard and mouse? Crazy

I've lost all interest in this for the PC now, and I can guarantee nobody I know will be interested either

Will wait for the demo though to see if it's worth picking up for the 360.

You can still play online with a silver PC account, and i've not heard any PC complaints so far.

People are saying they're not noticing any serious flaws in the PC game, and don't notice anything being gimped for them.

Great first impressions Silvergun but wtf are you doing here instead of playing!!

I`m over the moon that it is being well recieved by the people lucky enough to have had a go, I haven`t been this excited about a new release since Gears of War.

With regards to the purchasing of skills and stuff, is it kinda like an RPG where you get players who have been twatting the game who have wicked magic/weapons as opposed to new players that have nowt, or does everyone start with nowt each game and purchase stuff after each round?

I'm posting here between rounds. I'm doing both at the same time.

It's a per-game basis. So you start off with $2000, which you can use at the beginning of the round to buy some basic weapons. The better you personally do in the round, the more cash you get to spend on your next round. If you stay alive, you keep all your weapons and don't need to re-buy them.

All techs and magic stay, and don't need to be rebought, whether you stay alive or die.

I'm having some absolutely AMAZING raid games at the moment, with people really wisely using their skills. I'm on the defending team, and we've got about 2 or 3 of us casting a strangle barrier around the artifact so the other team can't get to it, but they're countering it with Antimagic Generators which are wiping out the strangle barrier.

We were 2-0 down and we just worked our way up to 3-2, and as we speak we're currently tied. The $500 rifle works absolute wonders.

I'm currently using Resurrect, Strangle, and Tree Of Life magic, with an Elf character. For those of you that are unaware, what Strangle does, is create a large cluster of crystals on the point of the spell's impact, which drain your essence and make it very difficult for you to move.

Exactly what I did last game.
That in a nutshell is why I'm looking forward to this so much! Tactical TEAMwork...whilst other games make you feel you should be playing as a team, everyone still buggers off and does what they want. This sounds like a game that really means you HAVE to play as a team!

Nem, I'm feeling the same, not been so excited about a multiplayer game in ages, just a shame I'll only get a few hours on it this week!

Now 5-4 up. I've not enjoyed a game this much since I started PSU.

They've even made the Katana useful! If you hit someone in the back with it, they get hit with a permanent damage over time. What some people are doing are choosing the Elf for it's high speed, going in with smoke so they can't be damaged (only for a few seconds), then un-cloaking and slashing to the back to give them a fatal DoT. Gust easily counters this though.

Ok, only really played the training plus a quick bot match but i have to echo Silvergun and say this is fantastic fun. Think Counterstrike meets Halo 2. The scope for fun is immense, i love it.

It is in no way the cheap deathmatch crap that has been theorised, it is a solid, fun game

On the PC version, quote from GameFAQs:

There is ABSOLUTELY no problem with the mouse and keyboard controls.

I played about 4 hours online last night, with mouse and keyboard, and I was one of the top 3 in every match single match.

When I first started the tutorials it was very slow, but I just went into the control settings and changed the sensitivity from 20 to 50, and I had no problems from then on.

I have read the developers post on PC vs 360 controls, and it is quite clear on what they did to limit mouse users... They made it so that when you do a very quick turn, which only mice can do, your aiming reticle grows quite a bit, making you less accurate for a second. This is a very minor issue, and only affects you at medium to long ranges, which in this game are not that important anyway unless you are sniping. The mouse has no other penalties that I can see, while the 360 controller just gets some minor aiming assistance. Everything else is pretty much even.
The game runs extremely well at 1920x1200 with 4xAA on my PC.... But I am running a Core 2 Duo at 3150mhz and have an 8800GTX. No idea how it performs with a lesser PC, but it should be fine if you can play all other current games.

Oh my god this is BRILLIANT!!!

Running at an enemy then whacking the teleport and appearing right in his face only to unload a clip into him...oh jesus!

This is the game I was looking for, I've only done the training mission no1 but the possibilities are endless...

                          1. You start, use enhanced vision then see some targets.
                          2. Get within range but far enough that they can't see you
                          3. Fly over the top of the stuff hiding you then
                          4. Teleport right into their face
                          5. Kill Kill Kill

                          Brilliant fun...

                          BUY THIS NOW!!!

                          EDIT: More impressions!

Resurrect...superb! If I ressurect you, it "holds" some of my essence and I can't use it for anything else...that essence (about 3/5 of it) is keeping you alive. SO, if I then die, you start to bleed out!!! Your healt slowly drains, then you are left with two choices...stand under a healing tree to stay alive, or find another team-mate who can cast ressurect again on you to stop you bleeding out!!

Honestly, the thinking behind this game is stunning.

Sorry if this has already been asked but can you use your 360 live account on vista live?
