It's quite frustrating. If they had made the restrictions for ranked servers known through the use of descriptive error messages, I think we would all have been saved a lot of time and annoyance.

I know people like using the right stick, which looks cool and everything, but almost always ends with the "[No45] suicide" outcome.

Are you using the "Pro Flight" mode? It gives you much more freedom. Only problem is I always seem to turn my head along with the planes!

(And I'd have all of my game manuals in a rack in the bathroom, personally, but Mrs. Fistman won't let me. )

Actually I've found the PS3 gives you a "manual reading window" whilst you spend 10 minutes waiting for the fng game to install to the HDD.

In fact, they should have the manual display whilst it's doing that - at least then it'd be constructive gaming downtime

Yeah, I'm in pro mode. If not it's a doddle. But I lose all sense of up/down when I start spiralling and ultimately end up in the ground/water/rockface... or getting the 'Stalling' message.

Ugh, looks like the stats are ****ed again. Not sure how they managed to have it up and running for such a short amount of time! \o/

Played some TDM tonight, which was a little more fun than the straight DM, but not nearly enough because of the awful voice implementation. I know I don't have voice fully enabled yet, but come Wednesday I'll have the USB headset and I'm hoping I can start to play properly.

Wishlist for the inevitable first patch:

1. Team audio on at all times (Or at least the option to do so)
2. Reduce the effectiveness (Or abundance) of the proximity mines
3. Proper clan support PLX!
4. Allow us to search for a server
5. Informative error messages
6. XMB access from the game (Hopefully this'll be ready day and date with the 2.0 firmware)

I'm sure there's more that I can't think of at the moment. Here's hoping.

Excuse me talking to myself, but it seems that deleting your game save (If you're having problem with stats/awards) will force the game to re-download it from the servers and should, apparently, sort this out. Haven't tried it yet though, I'll give it a shot later.

EDIT: There's a compiled list of issues with the game here that seems to cover all bases. Not sure if it's been identified by Incognito or not, but at least there's a decent list in the right place so we can but hope.

But they had the servers down again this afternoon in an attempt to fix. They did a really cool debugging session last night by massively loading a single development server (Apparently *all* of the issues are load related, they weren't apparently prepared for the numbers) and used it to formulate a fix.

I'll be on later for a while to see if there's any chance of me not being a recruit any more.

Tap the hover button and then immediately tap it again to put you in flight mode.

I am finally at Airman rank, after playing probably more than 15 hours worth of the game.

So, I'm the only one here that's still playing this? I'm having so much fun with it at the moment.

I'm sticking pretty much to Zones and TDM and really enjoying the lack of communication (Daft as that sounds). Just love the fact that I can drop in and out with no fuss, do what I want (Which includes helping other people, if the mood takes me).

The stats are definitely fixed as well, if anyone's bothered. Still hoping that they'll add in full voice support at some point though, because it would be nice to have the odd coordinated game - as it's rather pointless having the clan 'features' in there at all.

I would really love to be playing this at the moment but due to having completely knackered my back in I'm limited as to what I can actually play at the moment!

Anything like this which involves sudden movements is Just too painful to be able to compete...sticking to things like Mina no Golf for a while lol.

Lol it's really not that easy mate!!

It's just natural to move around with this one, RR7 is even worse though as I find myself leaning forwards towards the screen.

I've bought a few games lately Including Heavenly Sword (loving it), Lair (impossible to play at the moment) and Enchanted Arms (?10 sealed from eBay). I've also got BioShock and Blue Dragon to get through and most of those are "sitting still" games so I have plenty to do.

I've also sat through the complete 10th series of The Simpsons and my Iwo Jima/Flags Blu-rays too!lol
