Indy in town has it so getting someone to pick a copy up. God I love Sony, not only do we get it 3 months after the US they make a schoolboy error that takes it out of customers hands. If the PS3 Orange Box frame rate is as bad as I read about I may have to do some real folding at home with my PS3 back into its box for a quick sale

First off thanks to tbm and mardigan for their excellent info on this game. Reading the comments on here made me search for alternate reviews of this game (i.e. not IGN or Gamespot) and I came to the conclusion that I would enjoy playing Lair.
I spent a couple of hours on it last night and have to say its the best use of motion control I have seen outside of Wii Sports. I played Sidewinder on Wii which had motion control flight control and it was a disaster. Played it for half hour and returned it the next day. Controling the dragon in Lair was a great experience. I cant understand the roasting this game got in the US press. The graphics and music are top notch and the sense of scale is very impressive. I am on the fourth level at the moment where there is a huge battle going on between opposing ground troops on a bridge. Flying down and landing in amongst the troops causing havok is great fun. I am going to try out the remote play on the PSP at some point. Has anyone on here had a go at it? I presume that it falls over when you need to do a motion control action such as clawing at rhinos etc. Oh and the copy I got did have the BBFC rating on the sleeve so not sure what the emergency product recall was about. Unless someone got over enthusiastic and threw their controler during a session. Sixaxis has no safety strap so its litigation central for this game

Does this have much text? I've seen it for £4 all-in, but (obviously being it's OCD spkkr me) it's the JPN version. Sounds like it might be a laugh from this thread, and for £4 I don't really care if it's not, but if it's totally unplayable I won't bother.Last edited by J0e Musashi; 10-04-2008, 20:57.Kept you waiting, huh?

Very little text, if it has English audio you'll be sorted, if not some of the objectives might seem a tad harsh if you don't know what you're doing.

You can actually, the biggest reason the game sucked hard was the controls, not the game itself or the visuals.
Controls however are a big part of gameplay, and if your control system sucks then so does gameplay. Fix your controls and your gameplay improves. Improve your gameplay and you get better reviews
