Yeah, i kept on getting that...
where i'm already logged in, but it keeps asking me to sign in.
However i have tried what you did, by linking gamertag as the main persona, and still no joy.

Still keeps looping me back to the sign in screen.

Finally got it to work!
What seemed to have done the trick was that i had to link my EA classic account name as well (as previously i had only my XBL gamertag there) so i logged on and changed my sign in to classic, then changed it to XBL gamertag, and viola, it works

Fantastic title this - Had some amazing fun yesterday with Destrukt, Watusi, Ciaran and a few others - "Bomb the Bank" was mental fun with us taking turns whilst others watched.

Superior job by EA & Black Box !!!

Was hoping mine would arrive this morning but no luck, so it should be Monday. The Gamespot review suggests that EA still can't do the PS3 though.

Picked Skate up today. First impressions - better than HALO3.

Ok, seriously, it's fun. It feels so low-key and simple, but it gives a lot of satisfaction when you start landing tricks and finding lines. The city actually feels fairly real, unlike Tony Hawk which just crams as many ramps and rails in as possible. But that's Tony's goal I guess.

Controls feel easier than I'd been told. It's wierd though, how when things get a bit hectic or I zone out for moment, my mind suddenly reverts to Tony Hawk controls. And before I know it I've lost control and my head is rammed into the pavement. lol

Yeah it is giving me hassle as well - there is a way of frigging it to allow you to view videos.....cant remember how to do it though

They really have went into overkill with the web registration side of things - whoever responsible for that idea should be shot. It should be like youtube for skate .. fire it up, search name, select and watch vid - simple

Yeah I think this is another Fight Night i.e I won't be getting rid of it till there's a sequel.

Finished the Halo3 campaign today so this and SR are now due the time they deserve
