I felt the game picked up in the middle and the outdoor stages with the vehicles were a lot of fun but then also felt that, sadly, it trailed off again towards the end. One thing that really annoyed me and was of particular disappointment throughout the game is the sound effects of the weapons; regardless of what weapon I was using they all sounded limp and weedy - especially compared to Gears of War where the weapons sound 'meaty' and, well, how weapons should sound. You fire a shotgun in Halo 3 and it sounds like you've released the energy of air in a milk carton you've just popped. It's not a satisfying sound.

I thought it was on legendary difficulty that you had to complete it to see the 'extra' ending on top of the ending after you let the credits roll?

Does anyone agree with me in the fact that the second to last level was linear and boring? All the others I loved IMO, but that one seemed to really stick out as dull.

Really Enjoying this now, just destroyed the giant spider robot thingy and had the first relativley long cut scene in the game.

One thing thats annoying me a bit though, why cant you rewind when you watch videos of the campain games you have played?.... what if i watched one for 40 minutes and noticed a really awesome picture taking moment, but i missed it, so then id have to restart it and go all the way to the 40 minute mark again. Its not that big a deal, just seems really strange that you cant rewind but you can fast forward.

Like I just said havent got that far yet, but I did think the second level almost seemed like it should have been the first level, as it was paced much slower than the first and that seemed quiite odd to me.

yeah that one is particuary boring, what with all the backtracking and stuff

It was a normal Halo 1 level set up why it was in Halo 3 I don't know

Level 8 is practically the only thing I don't like about this game. Every other level is a joy to play, god knows what they were thinking when they came up with this. I honestly enjoyed The Library from Halo 1 more.

I've only just started this. Started on heroic, though I may well switch lower as I'm already getting stuck on the first level at a point where snipers are picking me off and I have no sniper rifle. Seems good so far. Like the first, but prettier and already more going on. Love that they just got straight into it with no messing about. My frame rate is well dodgy though. It doesn't seem to have much of that turn blur that things like GoW and Dead Rising used to hide any frame rate issues. Nice natural look though.

Haven't played multiplayer yet but I have no friends in my list. Doggy-No-Mates.

Just finished it. Nice to see a game finish with a satisfying ending - the first of this generation.
