Just completed Episode 2 over the weekend. It really has become one of my favourite games ever made. It has the best acting, art, audio and level design in any game.

Meant to say, I found another level-stopping bug in the game. In City 17 there's a point where Gordon has to get to a certain location and then be joined by a NPC. But in this game I played, the NPC never gets there and ends up getting trapped behind some scenery meaning a section doesn't play out.
Strange that there's now been two points like this which weren't picked up in testing.

never touched a HL game before and its brilliant, it just feels so clever and logical and I love the way the story is drip fed to you.
i had a couple of trys on launch of Halo 3 (having played the other 2 as well) but have to say its not a patch on Half Life.
can see what all the fuss is about now.

Wow you guys who had to wait ages for Ep1 back in the day must have been pretty gutted by HL2's ending, or lack of.
What I did really like was
that I had spotted the guy with the briefcase a few times during the game. The first time I wasn't even sure I had seen him. Very well placed and had me wondering about him without getting in the way. A nice touch.
Not a bad game. Very much Half-Life 2 which I guess is simply what I should have expected but it had been built up by the hype at the time.
Yeah, I felt the storytelling and definitely main character motivation was pants and where they found themseves at the end only reinforced that but the game is a decent old-style corridor FPS (and by old style I mean 'Half Life' style which was cuttng edge in its day). Has some enjoyable sections certainly.
Love that cushion cube thing. I like Portal. It's cool.
