Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction [Demo]

Just had a go on this demo and it is superb! Visually it is very impressive, a big step up from the PS2 games as you would expect. The character model for Ratchet is brilliant and looks great when you go into the over the shoulder shooting view using R1 (which is also a great touch by the way). The weapons are great, I especially love the Groovitron which is grenade type thing which once you throw it it turns into a disco ball and all the enemies in the surrounding area start dancing! There is humor thrown in with the enemies too, they are little fish in mech suits and when you break their suit they flap around on the floor. There was the odd slowdown it certain places but apart from that personally I couldn't really find a glaring fault in this demo, apart from I want more It was just a thoroughly enjoyable demo, this here is the platform genre at its best. Definate purchase!

Yeah, it's really good. My only complaint would be that SIXAXIS bit plus it seemed quite easy, but I've not played any of the others to tell if that's the norm.

I liked it, however it didnt looks as good as it does on screen shots i have seen. Its still a loverly looking game just i didnt feel it looked as good as shots i had seen. Also the camera still feels as ****ty and woeful as the ps2 games.

I was actually a little disappointed with the graphics in this game. After hearing so much about how stunning it looks, when I finally got to play it I found it quite blurry, like it's being upscaled. I even grabbed my tv remote and checked that it was running at 720p.

I like the fact that it's 60fps with only a few hitches here and there, and it seemed enjoyable enough, but it hasn't blown me away like I hoped it would.

Hmmm there was lots of shooting combat in the demo tbh.

Yeah there was quite a bit of shooting but there were some cool "platformy" sections such as the on rail sections, simple but effective.

Methinks the size is due to having all languages on the demo (my PS3 is set up in French and I got French spoken in the demo) as it's not that long, around 15 minutes worth of play depending on how good you are.

Played this last night. Absolutely superb. Graphics are sharp and gorgeous. Rock solid 60fps and shedloads going on. Great humor as you might expect. Seemed pretty easy. Controls really well. Very, very impressed. Top of my must buy list now.
