DJ Jim bob - yeah I had exactly the same comet last night!

Twas excellent. Put it this way - it took me a fair few attempts but once I was more patient and critical of his attack patterns I smashed his face in. Love that stage!

Exactly the same timing of the comet happened to me also. That boss was rock solid and I was glad to have finally beaten him and then it simply asked me to up my game.

Last night I was

trying to beat the rock boss in the ghost house galaxy, and the bloody thing whittled me down to my last life - after taking the full 6 energy bars. As I nailed it with a bead of sweat on my brow, I danced over to collect my star and save my game! Yes, I hadn't died

But as soon as it moved to the galaxy select screen I noticed that

a daredevil comet had hit the galaxy - needing the boss to be beaten again with one 1 power bar. Nightmare. Managed to get a 1-up via some star bits, died once then nailed it on one power bar.

Did anyone else get the same timing of the comet?

Just sheer gaming brilliance.

It was so good because

it's one of the longer lasting Ninty bosses I've encountered in a while, then it ramps up the challenge just as you think you're safe.

Same happened to me mate!! Spent ages doing that boss, was really starting to annoy me as I kept dying from silly mistakes. But eventually managed it then realised I had to do it again on 1 life, was pure ragin but somehow managed it first time!! Good stuff.

Up to 49 stars now and pure lovin it still!

So is this trully mario 64 stunning then? Ive got mine in the cupboard for chrimbo and Im actually genuinely scared to play this (Mario 64 all time fav game) so come on guys should I open it today or not is it that stunning or sunshine good (as I need cheering up after beating Assasins creed or congratulating for lasting that long to beat it perhaps lol)?

This game makes Sunshine look like a steaming turd. It makes Mario64 look like, well, still a classic but, so far, this game has thrilled me more than even the mighty 64.
