That is exactly why I love it best game of the year so far and I hear it only gets better

I don't find it's smirky attempt at videogame humour that endearing myself. Maybe 10 years ago it would have got a giggle out of me but now it just seems like it's trying to hard to be ironic with it's self referential otaku in-jokes. It it wasn't light on gameplay I could live with it I suppose, if it wasn't so poorly implemented I could get over it I suppose but my goodness, please! NO MORE! (heroes)

I thought the fighting was really good fun myself. It's hardly the most technical or inspired combat system but it's a hell of a blast.

Well, yeah. To it's credit, the fighting is good fun if a little shallow. I just love to hate No More Heroes! But I'll stop pissing on people's bonfires now, it seems to have received a pretty good reception here!

              Well.

I bought it today, and I completed it today with the real ending.

Absolutely brilliant end, it has to be said!

I'll have to do some assassination mission / Free Fight mission recordings tonight/this morning.

Some Gamble Fight practice on Bitter difficulty.

I need to start getting used to parrying more as there were far too many moments on that run where I was having problems with locking onto the correct enemies.

Well I beat the second boss, I'm enjoying it (reminds so much of God Hand) the graphics are lovely/horrible at the same time (very much like God hand) the control are spot on-ish.

I don't like the way the bike handles at all, I do like the games sense of humor and the characters are great so far.

The combo feels good once you start to mix things up a little, I'm playing it on easy because I just have no faith in the Wii controls (hence why I own only 5 games for it) Give me a joypad any day.

                  So far so good.

I promise to leave better impressions later but for now I LOVE IT!

                      Jealous!

My copy I pre-ordered from play.com months back still hasn't turned up

Had hoped to be kicking some ass on it this weekend.

Got my copy today and, boy, what a game!!

Absolutely stunning. It just plays so well. The whole wrestling moves with the Nunchuck and remote is genius! I'm liking the whole Remote-gesture-as-finishing-move too instead of wildly waving the Remote around like a mad person!

The only thing that I do take issue with is how bad the game looks running in progressive scan on my TV. Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy looked really nice and crisp but there are times that this looks really muddy and messy Thinking of getting an RGB cable and running it on my old CRT in the bedroom as GameCube stuff used to look great on that.

Still, aside from that I have no negatives about this game. I'm off to challange the assassin ranked 8th.

                        It's Game Time!!!

Can anyone give me advice pulling off throws? Can't seem to get it right moving in different directions at once. Also, when the arrow points forward, does that mean I should lift, or push the wiimote / nunchuck? Finally am I meant to hold the wiimote up or flat as a starting position? Thanks.

Hold them flat where possible, but you don't have to of course.

When the arrows point forward, quickly lift the nunchuck and remote up.

Just finished it AGAIN on Bitter difficulty, which was... hardly any different to Mild difficulty.

As fantastic as this game is, and as much as I was looking forward to it, it's disheartening that even with me playing all the assassin missions, doing all of the part time jobs, training myself up to maximum strength and vitality, that it's only taken me two days to pretty much complete.

All I have left are to dig up all of the cards, and find all the clothing in dumpsters. There aren't any more unlockables, anything. And that disheartens me.

Yes, they added in an unlockable 'hard' difficulty but it's not even hard! If anything, it's easier and shorter due to the fact that you already have a large deposit of money for the missions, a more powerful katana, and you know what you're doing.

                                Still, that ending...

that rank 2 that you see at the end is so blatently Garcian Smith. Just look at his clothing. LISTEN TO HIM.

All of that said, I have pretty much completely burnt out on it. 25 hours clocked up so there you go, and with Super Smash Bros. Brawl appearing next week for me I think i'll be shoving this on the trade forums soon.
