Does anyone know if the online play is locked to the region of the console/game? I will only be able to get the US version, but will suck if I can only play against folks in the US.

Initally - when booting up the game and playing it - I couldnt help but feel I had burnt money on this - I mean I love the plastic wii remote holder, it might not be the best control scheme but it is the most fun. Single player was the same old affair - multiplayer though was just such a blast - it really was just plain good fun playing aganist varied groups of people from all over the world.

Going to start getting back to and then updating my friends list - switched Wii recently and havent had time to update people on the new code. Hope to see a lot of you online ^^

Just had a go at the single player again.. Finished in 1st place for each race in the cup with no probs on 50cc only to receive a B ranking?
Yet in a previous 50cc cup I had one poor finish and 3 1st place positions and got an A ranking?

Your crap m8 its simple hehe Alot of it is down to the time you do a lap in, you have to nail em in near enough top times to get 3stars. I did the first cup and only got 2stars and I was half a lap ahead of em all in 3 of the courses but just won on last one due to getting blue shelled twice.

Edit: Just got a 1 Star ranking Strange that on tracks I have never done im getting better ranks?

its 3-1 stars m8 then A to I think D, if you get all 1 stars you get a pressie and same for 3. I wish you well getting the 3 stars hehe

For those that don't know how to come out of the POW attack better. I finally figured it out, when the POW box itself is at its smallest shake the wiimote. If done correctly, you will get a flutter of blue light under you.

I gave up using the wheel, i seem to be playing a hell of alot better with the wiimote and nunchuck.

Played tonight at a mates house, there were about a dozen of us all takin turns, doing 4 player races, absolute riot! So much fun!

Then one tournament we done, having done one race before, I won the first 3 races of it, then bottled it and came 8th in the last one and another guy came 2nd, 2nd, 2nd and 1st which gave us joint 1st on 49 points! And it put HIM on top of the podium and me second even though I'd won 3 races, I was RAGIN!!

Such a laugh though, really good multiplayer game!

anyone tested UK Mario kart out on USA wii via freeloader?

wondering if you'll still be able to get the mario kart channel or not.
would be useful as it'll probs cost a bit to send from VG+

G/f bought this and a Wii last night and I was on it until 3am! Excellent game, especially online. One thing though. Can you hold weapons behind you now or has that gone? Makes countering a lot harder it's been removed. Cheers!
