Other than that, I'm enjoying it. Like the overall style of the game. Have only done 4/5 (juddery) races so far, and boy do I suck at it. Struggling with it already even though its on Normal difficulty!

I've not noticed any locking or juddering when I've played it so far, I've only done a few races though.
I'm not quite sure what you're both seeing to be honest. Is it something that perhaps could be cleared by clearing the hdd cache maybe?
EDIT:
Which version of the game are you playing as I'm guessing that I'm in a minority playing it on the PS3.Last edited by JP; 31-05-2008, 16:48.

Did a check on this last night and the problem has become rather well know on the 360 version... Codemasters are on the case and are preparing a patch, if you unplug the HDD the problem go's away for the time being.. But then no live play, and the hassle of importing exporting profiles to memory cards etc... it's cause apparently has something to do with the recording of the races for replays and the flashback feature...

I hated Dirt's handling. I reckon this plays totally differently (better imho!)
I personally feel that this handles much the same as DiRT did and I have no complaints what so ever about that
Still haven't experienced any of these stalls yet, running on an Elite if it makes any difference

Yea back from respite
Anyone tried the game with a wheel on 360 and is it any better or harder/worse? Just pondering whether to get the smoking 360 wheel back out of the loft for it

Perhaps it's me having trouble keying into the handling model, but I'm finding this rather difficult. Even on "you are crap" difficulty, I still find myself in a hard race. I'm not totally cak handed, as I could race and win the top difficulty levels in DiRT (well, on rallies anyway), so this is a bit humbling.
I'm not sure this is a 9/10 game, but I do like the AI, and the saucy minx in the garage calling me by my actual name is quite effective. Wife wasn't impressed though. Thought it was rather sad. To be honest, I've got more chance of having a bit of slap and tickle with my virtual team manager than her at the moment, so I rather like the feature. "Oooh.... hi Ben, you big manly sports car driver. I've applied some decals for you... wanna see them you big handsome race car driver man?.... ooooh...". YEAH BABY!
Like the Touge (?) racing, that's quite fresh. The inclusion of Le Mans is also cool, as I have a house near the track IRL - not in a Roary The Racing car Flash rabbit sense - and I think that has potential online. But I'm going to have to practice first.
Great that you can highlight your actual nationality as well - any game that lets me race for Wales gets big bonus points.Last edited by cavalcade; 02-06-2008, 11:35.

I'm quite liking the eBay Motors auctions in the game. Not bought any cars yet, but seeing it made me chuckle a bit.

Absolutely no stalling for me today. Odd!
Anyhoo just had my first Le Mans race and loved it. Razzing around in a 911 GT3Some merciless corners though! Made a botch of a few in the daylight then was petrified at night as I'd run out of Flashbacks. Ended up coming 3rd in my class by the tiniest margin. Managed to spin out with about 2m30 left on the clock and ended up last but managed to claw a few places back. Missed out on the big pay check but still had fun none the less
