Was there a lead platform for this.As DIRT was meant to look better on the PS3.

I would imagine the 360 would be lead if there is one. The PS3 version of DiRT had the benefit of several months more development time, which is why the framerate was more stable and it looked a little better.

I hadn't even been considering this, but I'm quite tempted now given the generally positive impressions.

I think this game is very good , though it sold out too much to try and please the Yanks. That said its the best handling car game since SEGA Rally onthe Saturn imo , and the 5.1 and In car view is the I've heard and seen

I'm not sure but i'd imagine you could walk in and pick it up off the shelf.

I'm not bothered myself about the limited edition as there is no such thing as limited or special editions on the 360 anymore.

I was in GAME today and although they had GRID boxes out, there were no sleeves on them, but maybe they'll have them on tomorrow when it's officially released?

The PS3 version will have superior audio to the 360 version (7.1, just as DiRT did). Whether anyone here has the tech to make use of that I don't know!

EDIT: Seems they've got the ambisonic stuff working on 360 as well now to the difference in sound quality is going to be marginal compared to the different between the 2 versions of DiRT.

I think the handlings **** actually. Way too forgiving. You never have to fight any of the cars and you can corner perfectly on your first go.

That said the game is aces. Really exciting and intense. Lots of fun. Great physics. Looks and sounds the part. Lots of variety. I hate the announcer and the rewind thing is a bit generous as are the race requirements on default but apart from that its in a different league to "Dirt", known as "****" in my house.

Enjoying this so far, especially the muscle cars, though is a shame that you can't pick tracks/cars independently as you can in PGR/Forza etc. Restricting the choice of car for a track/race in single player I can understand (sort of), but doesn't make any sense to me for multiplayer races

Picked this up today even though the demo was far from perfect and GRiD was a disappointment in pretty much every way.

I'm still looking forward to giving it a try when I get home as I have really fond memories of Toca 2 on the PS1 which just got so many different things absolutely right.

Me wife picked this up for me this evening - gotta say awsome stuff so far...BUT..theres a slight problem - might be me machine / HD cache or somin..???.. During races it seems to be locking up for the slightest of moments.. and if it happens during cornering can be shoutingly off putting if your in first place and the packs bearing down your neck... Any body else having this..
