Wouldn't it be nice if we lived in a world where people just enjoyed video games regardless of what platform they're released for? - Gametrailers

haha... its GT themselves making those flamewar triggering comparison videos, no?

Indeed. They ae the pikees of internet gaming; I hate it when theyy stop in the middle of the track waiting a whole lap untill someone comes round and they reverse into you causing terminal damage. And if you look at their nationality; it's always American.

Nonsense. There are dickheads of all nationalities. I've encountered far more English twats than Americans on Live.

I said English, not British. Plus Malc never mentioned age.

Gerry does make most load-mouthed-trash-talkers seem quite reserved. I'll grant you that.

                          Quite,

To be fair it is a natural defence instinct which developed from playing Halo 2.

I quite liked the Demo of this actually. With some Good Multiplayer options and the Thumping gay rave music it could be win win!

If your Paulos and like Gay Rave, and if you arn't then its most likey just Win

So bad it's funny GT5P vs GRID comparison video

If I could only achieve the frame rate they have with GRID - I wouldn't be smug at all.

There is nothing clever about being technically inept.

If GRID ran at the same rate as GT5 - that would be cause to celebrate and for the dev to gloat.

It's sad really - because GRID could have been a solid package, that I could have truely respected. It's simply a reasonable experience as it is.

Motion and overall feel, are very important in a racing game. It's a shame that so many racing devs don't prioritise those elements.

You do realise that video isn't ACTUALLY by a codemasters employee, right?

Well, feeling like you are actually racing smart opponents and trying to keep the vehicle's intergrity intact are just as important. Neither of which GT5 Prologue does well.

The video above is heavily biased due to one being CGI (GRiD) and the other being ingame footage (GT5:P) which makes its techincal merits null and void. It does however sum up for me what makes one entertaining and the other dead boring.
GT makes me feel like a hamster in a wheel, just going around and around. And when you are off the track, you are more or less playing Pokemon with cars.
Its all very well having technical mastery of physics and framerate, but not when it comes at a cost. And to me, that cost is a soul.

But hey, lets not turn this into a 'this vs that' debate. The fact of the matter is, no racing game is perfect. It just makes me cringe when people can dismiss something in one game but turn a blind-eye to similar shortcomings in another. Guess its all down to whatever floats one's boat.
