Mine just locked up
Had just defeated
Crying Wolf and made my way in to the blast furnace and tried to crawl through a gap.
Froze right up (everything but the rather nice music).
Couldn't replicate it again so it looks like a one off (at least I hope so) but I did have to do the boss fight all over again >_<
Not that it's a bad thing, that one was a peach
I did laugh though when it refuse to give me the
beauty mask
because I skipped Drebin's dialogue and the the cutscene (having seen them before prior to the lock up). Guess that's Kojima's way of giving you the finger for not being bothered to listen to his plotlines

Anyone seen the

Also,
hand prints of the dev team and ghosts!
Yeah the first ones a peach but please do explain the other 2 you mention!?
I found out that if you defeat all the bosses by using the
tranq, for both their beast and beauty stage, then you get a wee statue/doll thing of them. One for each act, so you also get it for the Frogs on Act 1, and it supposedly gets you a cool gun if you get all 5!

The only thing I did different the second time around was skip the cutscenes and Drebin Codec.
Perhaps it's because it was your second play through and it knows you've already sat through them once? Ordinarily I'd say that theory was a bit unlikely but having seen the stuff Kojima's lot have put in this game it wouldn't surprise me. >_<
Shame cos it was really purdy like, but I missed the first one too because I didn't know you could get them, so there's always my second playthrough to grab them all.

I've noticed on other forums people complaining when they have another ps3 user load an earlier act or they go back to an earlier savegame themselves it has to reinstall the 'level' every time, are these people too dumb to realise its actually a cache file for each level or something, not installing it as such, ah well.

Took me between 16-17hours on normal. I'm not sure how many hours of cut-scenes were in it but i'd imagine maybe half that.

Okay, I'm puzzled... not to mention extremely frustrated.
End of Act 5:
Liquid/Ocelot, on top of the submarine. Uh... all I can do to him is a CQC hold. And the QTE event does about a quarter of the damage he's doing to me with a flurry of punches and kicks. Which I could do just fine in the cutscene preceding the fight, but now suddenly I've lost the ability to perform them. Am I seriously expected to win this just by dodging around like a tit and occasionally weakly banging his head off the floor?
Very, very pissed off. I mean, I'm perfectly prepared to be shown how I'm missing something blatantly obvious, but I pressed everything nice and slowly to test it, and I'm pretty sure the only button that does anything is R1. I mean, if I am reading it right that's really, really not on.

Hold L1 before pressing R1, the way you would fire a gun. That should help

Yeah, I kind of worked some of it out.
I mean, obviously I'm typing this after having lost for the umpteenth time but... Jesus, this is appallingly bad. Probably the worst final (?) boss battle I've ever played. Bringing back hideous memories of Omikron and Dreamfall. Yeah, "combo goodness"? Might help if there was any sense of timing, or physical weight, or anything other than there's a secret rhythm I need to hit in order to make anything happen and that the game is giving me no indication as to what it is. Utterly pathetic. And people wonder why serious gaming journalists mark the game down from a 9 or 10.
