God I loved Guardian Heroes, I still have my PAL Saturn copy. God that would make an awesome adition to live aracde!

Can understand how it wasn't everryone's cup of tea though. I had a mate who love final fight / streets of rage, but couldn't get away with it.

Had a quick go on the demo and really enjoyed it. It's what I expected but I was only playing single player and I'm sure it'll be improved in Co-op so it's a purchase for me

Was really looking forward to this but it hasn't lived up to my expectations at all. I know scrolling beat 'em ups by their nature are repetitive beasts but this seems more repetitive than most and, as a consequence, a chore to play. I also echo those saying it looks like a souped-up flash game - it really does, thanks in no small part to the lousy animation. The character design is admittedly lovely but that ain't enough to save it. 1200 points? I won't go into a long-winded rant (like I did with Braid) but, honestly, I wouldn't even pay 800 points for this. Very disappointing.

I have to say for a game this simple I think 800 points would have been a more appropriate price. Just think Double Dragon, the TMNT arcade game that's already on XBLA, etc and it's basically that with a different art style. Something like Braid is probably worth paying a premium for but this really doesn't have that 'something special' or anything new to offer for the premium price.

another game for me that I've come to knowing nothing about and I love it, as a rule I hate side scrolling beat 'em ups but this has so much charm and style.

not mad keen on the price but in the summer drought I get keen for something new to play.

think its a bit harsh to say its just a flash style game, feels like there's more to it than that.

Just because its a side scroller doesn't mean it should be mentioned along side the likes of double dragon or tmnt. The combat/magic and rpg elements is so incredibly deep and robust, whereas tmnt and double dragon is incredibly simple. I've been pulling off all kinds of crazy combos and i'm only at the beginning of the game.

Like everyone else who has played Guardian Heroes, its definetly a great Guardian Heroes clone. It exumes alot of charm and its so bright and colourful.

Is this worth 1200 points then? I thought Braid was just about worth it, because of the quality, but when BC Rearmed is 800 I don't see why some games charge more.

Personally, i don't really care about the price its only like 2 or 3 extra quid. whether its 800 or 1200, its worth it.

Seconded this is worth every penny, and flash game it is not the animation and characterization on show here are second to none, to compare it to something that is as cheap and has no combo system to speak of like tmnt is very mean, this is a fantastic guardian heroes style game.

Come on show some love to this its got so many neat touches and design elements you cant help but smile playing this.

Absolutely love this, so much damn fun and easily my favourite game on XBLA so far along with Rez and Streets Of Rage 2. Love the humour and the music's cheesy and cool. This one's going to have a lot of replayability for me.

No lag either on the co-op session I had either, great stuff

This is ex-shell-ente. Truly with this Castle Crashers they are spoiling us.

I never expected a game with so much variety, polish and depth.

For a start, the demo level is repetitive because:

                              a) there is only one type of enemy because it's the first level (there are loads more)
                              b) you have very limited combos and powers because you gain more as you grow in levels

The thing about looking like a flash game is absurd - people are only saying it because of their previous game. Flash it at a stage now where pretty much any 2D game could be rendered in it. You might as well say Braid or Warioware look like a flash game.

And the animations are supposed to have few (if any) frames between poses. That's the art style, which has been a staple of Western and Eastern animation for years. The fluidity comes from the lateral movement of the sprites.

And the price is fine. Seriously, think back five years ago and think if you could have bought a brand new console game for ten quid? In an age when prices on everything else is going up, that's damn good value. Just because there are other games that are ever so slightly cheaper (for different reasons) doesn't make it any less so, especially when the majority of games are still in the higher price bracket.

Speaking of price...I just bought all four of the figurines O_O

What is the game anyway, £10? I've paid more than that for some crappy films, hell i've paid more than that for a burger but CC is sooo much better than a burger
