Have you looked into formations/strategies much? Got Estelle/Karol's healing skills set to your controller (if you have them, I don't recall precisely)? Make sure your weapon skills are the best for the fight too. You should have a couple of +200?HP skills, I believe they come in the DLC if you haven't got them.

Aside from that, just try and keep your combos going as well as possible, if you're hitting him, he can't hit you.

    It's doable. Hard, but doable.

Did I miss a great dispersion weapon for Karol?

I'm just about to run into the capitol to, hopefully, rescue Estelle and it's really annoying without a proper healer in the party. I end up having to spam Yuri's healing attack most of the time which burns points like no ones business.

Need to know if I've missed great dispersion for Karol as his "nice aid smash" is a bit weak.

Also doesn't help that Judith never ever stands still so getting her healed takes some doing

I really must dig into the strategy settings, Raven never seems to case his heal for me

edit: DLC skills? (checks marketplace) oh, that's interesting, might have to check those out on my second play through, although I never really had any problems with Zagi.

I only use the strategy setting to tell the AI characters what not to do, then I have to remember to turn the settings back on for fatal strikes, etc when I get into boss fights

Ok i was a bit quick on the mark to rage on this game
The presentation and design is great, and the world and environments are really nice
I got to say tho that i much much prefer Eternal Sonatas style of battle, with its turn based method etc. Its so easy to get totally swamped in battle, and the delay between finishing an attack and defending is to great imo.

But, it does have newgame+ and i think its definatly one of those 2nd play thro games where it all comes together once you know what youre doing etc

Just gave this a whirl tonight, and off the bat I've got a problem.

Basically, the game keeps signing me out of my main profile and won't let me back into it while it's running (tag is greyed out when I try and use the sign in option). Obviously this means I can't save the game which I'm fairly miffed about.

                Anyone know what's up?

Bizarre. Is it just Vesperia doing that? You haven't installed the preview dash on a 360 that wasn't in the preview program have you? Does it do it if you're not connected to Live? Is it happening with all your profiles?

Yeah, just this game so far

Don't have the preview thing either. I can sign in fine with my other profile, but obviously I want the achievement points for my main.

Edit: looks like a gamertag recovery has sorted me, no explanation as to how this happened though...

Completed this a couple of nights ago and thought it excellent. The graphical style of the game is simply beautiful and at times genuinely feels like a high-quality anime with it's sumptuously designed characters. I mean what other game includes a pipe smoking dog? Must confess that, from a purely gameplay perspective, I didn't find the first 20 hours or so particularly memorable, especially as I hadn't fully grasped the way skills, artes and overlimits worked but once that clicked it was like playing a new game, and grinding, rather than a chore, became enjoyable opportunities to try new combos, strategies and techniques.

Tempted to start a second playthrough now and put all that hard-earned grade to use. I wonder how long it takes to reach level 200 with 10 x Experience purchased?

Yeah, Repede's the business. Even cooler than Yuri and he's super-cool.

Works the same as any generic RPG, there are designated save points in cities/dungeons or you can save anywhere when on the world map
