I am adamant about using in-car view in games. But with Wipeout i always make it an exception. I just find it looks alot cooler on the outside than the in.

I use in-car view in Sega Rally and Ridge Racer 6/7. Outrun and Daytona I've always preferred external view, probably because I grew up playing them in that manner. WipEout I find extremely difficult to play using internal view (in a Manx TT kinda way), and and up hitting the sides all over the place.

Copy MP3s onto the XMB and make a playlist, also on the XMB. Then in the audio options of Wipeout you can change soundtracks to any of the XMB playlists.
I didn't realise before but in Zone mode the graphics respond to the music! I was racing to Rock is Sponge (stage 4 of Rez) and could see the track flashing in time to the beats.. niiice.

The video of the comparison looks well cool, I wish they would release it in an update where you have to agree to a disclaimer saying that if you have a fit then you can't sue. As it was so much better than what7 Zone is now, even though Zone is still awesome!
Oh, I use external view btw. Would use in-car for any racing game but it just doesn't work for me in this since the ship rotates and I just can't get my bearings. When you do a barrel roll using in-car view does the whole screen rotate with it? That would make me flip out man!

Never even thought of making the soundtrack in the XMB! Honestly, I've never bothered to play my own music during a game before, I normally like to just listen to the game's own music, but this is one game where I would really like to experiment with some tracks of my own.
As for view, I used the slightly more zoomed-out external view, since this is closer to what the older WipEout's were like.
