i got ps3 and 360, no tearing on ps3 and ps3 is better online so far, alstho ps3 only runs in 720 and my 360 in 1080p ( with tearing )

i cant seem to get any achievments to work on 360? for example ive won several matches, played champions league and won ranked ? i get nothing, and i cant even vewi the acheivments when i look at compare games?

Picked this up on the PC since I refuse to use the XBOX pad with a crappy D-PAD and whooshy triggers.

I can't believe how well it runs compared to PES2008. Graphics on full, max resolution for my laptop (and via vga out to my 40" LCD). It's superb. My Laptop aint a beast either.

Played all day yesterday with my mate in a same side Champions League. Got to the final 2nd go on Top Player, got beat on pens by Utd. Scum.

But what a game, I'm over the moon with it to be honest....especially after the 2008 fiasco.

Is there some sort of server update going on or are Konami just completely and utterly useless at doing online?!?!

Tried to get online to have a couple of games and I can't login at all, just keep getting an error. Seriously if you can't do online the just don't add that feature to your game!

And if I buy the PC version, can I play against 360 or PS2 opponants?

Hmmmm, really can't decide whether to buy this now or not. There seems to be such a wide range of opinions about it on here and other forums and the more I read, the more people seem to be getting frustrated with it.

I was gonna get this but ASDA sold out. Instead I played FIFA. Judging by the online reactions I think I'll stick with FIFA, its a sad day as I have bought every version of PES since 4. I have to say FIFA is quite brilliant though.

Dunno if the PC version is better than PS3 or 360 version but I know that you can't play cross format online. Konami can't even do online on one format correctly so cross format online play is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off mate.

Seems like the servers for the PS3 version were down for some maintenance last night, still hilarious though. Seriously if they don't sort out the online in the next few days, I don't think I will be going back to this unless I have some mates over or something.....if we are not playing FIFA 09 instead

****e, I've always known the PC versions of PES being way better what with my decent spec PC and the ability to patch and get all the correct kits and music and sounds but the lack of my mates bothering with the PC version is a no no for me.

Are the majority buting the PS3 version or the 360 version this year?

I prefer PS3 pad more than the 360 version for PES simply cos I've been used to the PS2 versions yet the PS3 L2 and R2 buttons are kinda sucky tho...

Yeah I think more people have gone for the PS3 version mainly cos of the fact that getting an option file for that kits and stuff would be easier than the 360 one. Also probably cos the PS3 pad suits PES more, triggers shouldn't hinder you too much.

PS3 version. W11/PES has always been designed up for a digital pad (apart from cube version) so it gives you better control.

I went for the PC and 360 versions again this year.

To be honest, both are pretty identical.

I went for the PS3. Mainly for the option files and the better D-Pad. Also, I actually wanted to own a game for it!

Cheers for the info n impressions lads online sounds ad:. Normal play sounds all good though. Played the Champions league mode in WE2009 at TGS 2008 don`t know if I can hold out til Nov 27th for WE2009, nice to read all the thoughts on PES2009 keep em comin. Can`t wait to start messin around with kits n transfers.
