And here's me thinking you could use Moira for other means............

Out of curiosity, if you don all the raider type get up and become evil in the game, will the raiders treat you as their own, like normal civillians would if you were good?

      But she's so annoying!

Raiders pretty much attack anyone BTW, even Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave soldiers. That's why they're called 'raiders'

You do get different random encounters with bad karma though. Instead of getting attacked by Talon mercenaries you get attacked by a vigilante gang calling themselves The Regulators.

I'm pretty sure the "Scourge of the living" title I've been given is maximum evil karma, yet I keep coming across Talon mercs and no Regulators.

The wiki says they only attack when your karma is 'evil'. Presumably they believe they can reign you in or make you correct your ways at that stage, but right now you're so bad-ass they're afraid to take you on

It also says you can have random encounters with hitmen regardless of your karma... I only recall one myself so it might be a one-off.

Apparently patch 1.1 for all versions is out now.

            Full details here:

            This caught my eye though

Fixed issue where dead NPCs would occasionally come back to life.
as it reminded me of an event that happened a couple of days ago.

Some time last week I was doing the

molerat quest in the Tepid Sewers

for Moira and on the way there, as I reached the memorial near the destination, I heard gunfire up the steps. A few seconds later an NPC wastelander comes running down followed by a Deathclaw which proceeds to kill him and I finish it off. I take a second to mourn the NPC's death and natually scavenge his pockets for anything of value and move on my way.

I pass by this location a number of times then a couple of days ago as I pass through the game judders and in front of my eyes 2 NPCs spawn. One of them comes running towards me and thanks them for helping them with "that thing" and gives me a Note which I presume leads on to a side-ques so I haven't really looked at it since.

I just remember being baffled at the time and I'm assuming (from the update notes) that it shouldn't have happened (although I'm glad it did asthe guy gave me another lead for something to do which I may have missed).

I think what you described is one of the random encounters you can have. Three wastelanders will be fighting with a weakened Deathclaw. If you help kill it and at least one of them survives they give you a note detailing a dungeon location. There's nothing overly valuable in there though.

Presumeably in your case the scripting glitched and the other two wastelanders didn't spawn until they popped in front of you.

Blimey, there wasn't much wron with it was there !!

Joking aside I'm glad they've got this patch out now and sorted so many things. As much as I've enjoyed playing this so far (and with nearly 90hrs of play I think it's quite clear I have enjoyed it) whenever I've not been playing it and have read about the bugs and glitches it's made me a little hesitant to carry on.

Unfortunately no mention of a fix for the way the PC version's SECUrom DRM causes it to crash to desktop ALL THE FFF'in TIME since it picks up certain MP3 decoders as cracks

I notice they've not addressed any of the infinite exp glitches.

The mister sandman one in any case...

Has anyone had vanished NPC return upon using this patch? I've had the guy in the water treatment plant in megaton vanish and it would be great to get him back, hopefully I don't have to start a new game?

Wait, there's a guy in the water treatment plant?

I remember someone mentioning him right at the beginning of the game but I never saw him once!

He's probably dead like mine and Briaroes's then. I found him lying dead on the floor just after I'd completed a little task he's set me, great .

Ive just discovered the Little Lamp Light place lol............ Good Job i had the 'child skill' as it gives you a couple of extra options, although i nearly missed an additional quest as a result............ Note to self, always try the other options first!

Has anyone tried the animal skill? Does it allow you to talk to the animals? Cos there are a load of Dogs and animals around, will the skill allow you to converse with them? Or am i being too ambitious?

                                He asked me to

fix the leaky pipes around town, can't remember if he said he'd pay me or give me something for doing so

but when I'd done it I went looking for him and found him lying dead on the floor!!
