I had that problem with specific enemies, on the 360, I think mainly beetles which had tiny heads.

Finished the main questline earlier - absolutely dire ending how it's so abrupt, kind of tainted the entire experience a little. Anyway, I made sure to pick up Broken Steel just before I triggered the ending so I have some more work to do yet. Just a bit of a shame that Bethesda couldn't quite unterstand how to handle and ending properly.

I'm currently addicted to collecting bobbleheads - 9/20 so far.

as for head targeting: i am playing the game on my 360 - so it seems to be a problem affecting both console versions.

what is it about picking up "Broken Steel" just in time? and can i collect all the bobbleheads anytime?

No theres 2 bobbleheads you have to get when you see them as the areas that they are in become closed off after you complete them so you can't go back & get them.

          This wiki lists their locations

I picked up Broken Steel so I could just finish it then get the continuation which it brings in - plus i was already level 20 so wanted to up the level cap to 30 during the final section.

are the weapons finds/locations randomized or can someone direct me to a Scoped Magnum? still haven't come across one and i've already reached Lv 13

The scoped .44 Magnum is a weapon in Fallout 3. The scoped .44 Magnum is a very high-powered pistol. It has a very long effective range, which is further extended by the scope but also has a low rate of fire for a double-action revolver. There is no recoil when looking through the scope and firing. A fully-repaired Magnum can fire approximately 229 rounds, or 39 reloads, from full condition before breaking. Am gonna give this is another go this weekend - I just really struggled to get into the game first time around. Any tips for starting off - or is it best to head straight to Megaton and scour every inch of the city for interesting quests etc.. ?

early on in Megaton, visit the bar, talk to Mr. Burke and then tell the sheriff of Burke's plans to detonate the bomb. then follow him and let Burke kill the sheriff. as soon as the sherrif is dead you can pick up his Chinese Assault Rifle and are pretty much fitted to take on the first quests.

You can also trek straight to Rivet City to pick up a specific Bobblehead (That is at maximum benefit if you pick it up immediately - beware who you speak to at its location though if you don't want to advance the main quest...) and you'll can get a Chinese Assault Rifle there as well.

Megaton is great, I don't think I could destroy it on another playthrough.

I strongly recommend not letting the sheriff die. Kill Burke after you've reported him and before he kills the sheriff, and then if you talk to the sheriff after he will give you keys to an apartment. This will then give you a good starting place for the game and is more beneficial for the whole game, rather than just getting a gun a bit earlier.

I had the exact same problem as you dazza_cole. But after doing this on my second go with the game, it makes it much more enjoyable, as you will always have a place to recover your health and store items.

Well, if you blow up Megaton, you just get yah own place at Ten Penny Towers........ Although, i will admit that having Megaton around makes the game a lot more fun........

And you still get a place at Megaton if the sheriff dies....... jus a bit later on

I've not got access to the Tenpenny Tower suite despite having wiped out both leaders and taken their keys (Ghoul and human).

And for Christ's sake don't kill Martha (the bird in Megaton who runs the Supply). Worst thing I did.

I'm disappointed with the other Vaults that I've found. Thought there'd be more going on. Never mind.

I've been back into this the last few days. Almost at level 14 now and still havn't intentionally went near the main story!

Such a great game. Can anyone confirm if the expansion discs can be used multiple times?
