Fallout 3

just ordered the game of the year edition new for £20 from Gamestation played a fair bit of fallout 3 and loved it, cant wait to get into it again

I bought the GOTY myself earlier in the week, finished Point Lookout last night and thought it was pretty damn good! Looking forward to clocking up some more hours with the rest of the DLC

I never really played this that much before, just picked up the game of the year edition though so am gonna try and give it more time now.

Its a bit Dizzying when you get out the vault now though, being able to choose to play the main game or all but one of the expansions, you dont really know what to do.

I went stright to Megaton in the end, I ended up annoyed though, Moira wasnt at her shop, shes gone wondering off somewhere...

Even though ive played that bit of the game before I still cnat help but be impressed by the sheer suprising randomness of the whole thing really. Few games really feel like youre in a living breathing world as much as this one.

I Still had to kill that guy who tries to make you blow up the town though, snidey git.

I restarted this over the weekend am about 2 hour into it right now i would of played more but had alot on over the weekend, i am finding i like it alot more now

I've fallen in love with it all over again. Did the GNR quest (Never met Three Dog first time out because I accidentally joined the main quest later down the line) so at least I have GNR access throughout the land.

Agatha's House as well, so I've just completed the quest that takes you to vault 92 and really enjoyed that. Vault-Tec really is/was a sinister corporation, based on my vault experiences so far.

Level 8 at the moment (This time around I'm 'cheating' to get the karma trophies - slaughtering Megaton was quite fun! ).

Accidentally deleted my 40+ hours game save from my 360 HDD...

Was upgrading from 120gb to 250gb with migration cable and thought I was only deleting the actual game data which I had installed, nope was the game data and save games... Fookin WOUNDED

Right, late to the party with this and looking for some advice if any of you would be kind enough to offer some.

I'm about eight hours in and appear to have cleared Megaton of most quests (I've done the ones relating to the bomb, the pipes, the drug habit, the Wasteland Survival Guide, Moriarty's bird in Springvale and the fantastic "Blood Ties" quest). I'm level 5 and now sort of getting "the fear"; I've been clinging to Megaton for diversions and quests, and don't quite know how to approach proceeding.

Should I head towards GNR and see what else is thrown up my way? Or should I wander around aimlessly looking to stumble across something awesome? Or have I missed a relatively big location/thread of quests?

You could leg it south on the east side of the river down to rivet city
or try the subways to GNR. Theres tons you can do. Grayditch has a few quests and if you wander north or west you'll stumble across loads of NPC's who want stuff done which then leads to more quests.

I was umming an ahhing about restarting my game when i got GoTY a few weeks ago but i couldn't be arsed re-investing the 40-50 hrs or so i'd already put in to get to lvl 14 where my game ended on the original.

I did miss the bobble in the that base where you regain consciousness i and i know i can't go back to get it. Unless anyone knows of a way to get it afterwards as the base blows up. I can't remember the name of the questline but its one of the main ones

Great game tho, but need a lot of time investing in it. Glad xmas is nearly here so i can have 2 weeks of uninterrupted gaming

My heart goes out to you. I had a hard drive failure 3, 4 weeks ago and lost a good 75% of all my 360 saves that weren't backed up to memory card.

lol i spent about one hour slaughtering people in Megaton laast night but i think i killed the wrong people but hell it was fun now i am walking to the radio tower

Hahaha, that reminds me of that DJ, Dog something or whatever. Carried out his mission, got my reward then killed him in his sleep and looted his office. Actually I looted his office while he was sleeping then killed him, no one was any the wiser. Thank you Mr.Sandman...

I was in the Wastes, heard the radio station was still goin, thinking wtf? Then some woman came on saying "I'm covering cos some asshole killed our DJ"

I've decided that I'm going to get what I need from the game (All levels, important quests complete, trophies etc.) then I'm going to massacre EVERYTHING.
