People using Juggernaut are the devil. That is all I have to say on the matter.

It's worse in WaW than CoD4, because so many of the weapons are less powerful. Using an FG42 against someone with jugs on, even if you've got stopping power, is like spitting at them.

I tend to play Hardcore only these days. Less grenade spammers and no-one in their right mind would pick Juggernaut given its pretty much a 2-3 shot kill anyway.

I tend to run with camoflauge, stopping power, second chance and an STG-44 with a flash hider.

I am going through prestige at the moment so I am enjoying starting again as it makes you more careful and you remember old guns that you have stopped using. I just think Juggernaut takes away any skill. At least with stopping power you still have to aim and shot.

Juggernaught should be capped at level 10.

              Martyrdom shouldn't exist

Surely you have learned to deal with Martyrdom by now.

Martyrdom is fine by me. I equip it myself when I use shotguns.

Juggernaut PLUS Second Chance is the real killer.

I dont mind what combination of perks other people choose to use to be honest. There is no substitute for shooting first and being accurate.

It is annoying when you fall foul to Juggernaut or Martyrdom etc... but when you know they exist you should be pre-empting the fact they are being used and expect it. The fact of the matter is most people who dont back themselves in a fight pick them because they give them a longer life expectancy (juggernaut in particular) but they dont automatically make them uber powerful and invincible...

I've stopped using Juggernaut simply because I realised my shot accuracy have improved with particular guns and stopping power or another equally useful perk were the better choice. I still use Martyrdom in small matches but generally go with other load outs that suit my play.

At the end of the day I dont think they hurt MP at all, its just horses for courses... to anyone who hates them I'd be trying out Hardcore exclusively for a couple of sessions. You'd be stupid to use either of those perks in that mode, martyrdom is going to make you team-kill more often than not... likewise because bullet damage is ramped up Juggernaut is pretty much useless.

What Hardcore does do is make you far more cautious, you dont stick your neck out of cover and traverse the map with your back to the wall. For me its made me a better player overall and has made me really learn the maps. No when I go back into TDM modes I am far more competent and therefore you get less annoyed with the arguably "cheaper" perk options.

You say that, but unless you're playing with people you know, I guarantee you the same idiots run around with martyrdom on in CoD4 hardcore.

That would be okay if the two cancelled each other out, but they don't. Juggernaut is still stupidly tough.

I don't think it's too bad. I never use stopping power and regularly overcome Juggernaut.

                            Agreed...

In hardcore its practically useless. I've hit a couple of people with juggernaut equipped with a Gewehr rifle and stopping power... 1-2 hits max, not even talking headshots here. In TDM you're looking at what 2-4 shots.

If you really dont like Juggernaut then stopping power is your friend. If you really, really hate it then why not pick it yourself and then anyone you come up against with a red cross above their head has the same expiry resilience as you... if you kill them, maybe they'll realise Juggernaut is rubbish and pick something more useful.

                            :P

I've hardly come across anyone running with martyrdom in hardcore. Honestly Im up to rank 44 now in COD5 and have played hardcore almost exclusively the past 2 months and I've only seen 2-3 people with it on.

As I said a few pages back whether I play alone or with a small party we stick the local filter (on Xbox 360) to locale only to ensure good quality connections and no-one we've come up against has been that retarded.

Maybe its just the local aussie/nz community but we sometimes end up with some US players, plus if anyone purposely team-kills in hardcore they automatically get booted after two kills anyway.

I cant remember from COD4 but does that have automatic booting of players? I know it doesnt have the local filtering for matchmaking.

There's no booting for teamkilling in CoD4.

Which is something that can actually be used to your advantage - strategically killing a DBNO teammate in Last Stand mode before the opposition can finish them off means they won't score any points.
As long as you're prepared to accept the -10 penalty, its quite a clever, albeit slightly underhand, tactic to use in Hardcore games.
