I thought RE4 with wii controls was bloody rubbish.

Heh, I remember playing this a while back and thinking it was pretty naff overall. I think the main complaint is how bad the controls are, but I think most people have mentioned that hehe.

I will still buy it though as I'm a sucker for resident evil games.

Havent Capcom already said there will be multiple control schemes/options, traditonal 10 year old Resi Scheme and a new one?

Yeah, but you're worse than me in that you think everything's rubbish.

Me too. I could have coped with the control system had the theme captured my imagination, but it doesn't. Can't see me buying this one unless I see more diversity/trad horror.

But I must add, although I loved pretty much all of Resi 4 I did feel it was let down but some ridiculous (old school) bosses which spoilt the 'crazies' theme. A man with a sack on his head is scary ... a wall of sinew, eyeballs and claws is not. So there's a balance I suppose.

Finished both levels last night, and I'm still not impressed by it. The whole setting/atmosphere is just not ResidentEvil, I like it dark and mysterious, and the whole co-op idea is also not suited for ResidentEvil (IMO), I like the idea of being all alone trying to solve and survive the adventure. Now you have to give her ammo, make sure she survives etc... to do this for a small part in the game is no problem but knowing you have to drag her everywhere with you just doesn't feel right to me.
It was just no fun to play, all I did was run from one side to the other past the horde of maniacs to try to shoot them from a distance and I repeated this till a cutscene comes or until the chainsaw guy bites the dust.... the controls are sluggish but just like I used from a ResidentEvil game.
I know it's an early build of the game, and just a small part of what is about to come, I still have high hopes for this game to get any good, but the 1st impression is not as good as I hoped it would be...

You'll all be crapping yourselfs when you are walking around a shanty town at night and some zombie lions run in and attack you

Did you make that up or is that actually going to happen?

Those who are critising the location do realise that the entire game isn't based in the Shanty Town, right? From what I've gathered, the Shanty Town in RE5 is basically the Village area in RE4.

Just watch the trailers, there are loads of areas!

I imagine it'll be as it was with MGS4, where we were inundated by videos in the Middle East for the most part, but then the game hit and we were all around the world

If you think a man with a sack on his head is scary, youve obviously never seen friday the 13th part 2......

I never got the impression Resi 4 was suppose to be that scary, and after, isnt variety the spice of life, personaly i liked the bosses.

Anyway, going back to this demo, and considering the lumbering controls, plus the potential for loads of onscreen enemies that the current gen should be able to produce, and It probabaly would have worked better (and been more fun) with classic style zombies really....

Played co-op with a mate last night for about 90 minutes, was hilarious and fun. The game itself is fun to play and fun to mock the shoddy out-dated mechanics at the same time.

Can't wait for the full release in co-op.

I have just played the 360 demo on my brothers Xbox. Not being an xbox gamer i am not use to the controls and struggled to aim where i wanted when shooting, i am not sure if this is me or a bad control scheme. Is it worth keeping on with this? I just keep dieing. Again from what i have seen presentation wise fantastic, but it is not quite the leap on from RE4 that i was expecting, still why change a winning formula?

                                It's bound to happen
