      In terms of enemy 'AI' yep, but not in terms of control.

        It controls pretty much the same way as RE5 though, not a huge difference at all. I'm beginning to think people have very selective memories, it is rather funny. Ah well.

          It does control like RE4, i don't have a problem with the controls personally. I just hate the new inventory system at the moment. Hopefully it will grow on me the more i play it. I do like the fact you can quick switch between weapons on the d-pad.

            Nope. Gone are the menus and brief pauses, such as picking up currency, that enable you to think of your next action between commands - and, *gasp*, change your weapon in style. Everything is done in real time which takes away so much from the RE4 experience.

            Some bullet-time sequencing whilst the menus are brought up would work wonders, however that's Dead Space's Stasis being ripped off.

            How easy are you finding that whilst running away with no ammo using the same thumb? I personally bring my right hand over to the d-pad to select...

            Then I find out silly bitch has all my ammo.

            Not being able to run and shoot is granted for this being Res Evil, the point is that you CAN change guns whilst running this time, it's just that you need two thumbs on your left hand in order to pull this off comfortably, which I think most people are disliking, including myself until I started using my other hand.

              RE4 controlled like **** on the Cube anyway, 'twas only the Wii version where the game came to life IMO.

              Gone off this as a day 1 purchase, will wait to pick up a cheap copy later down the road. Got myself Lost Planet and Gears 1&2 to play instead.

                I thought the controls for wii re4 were bobbins, I hated them. RE4 on a pad is pretty much .. ugh. .nowadays too.

                  Aye I know of a few others who do not like the Wii controls, still I think you can still use the GC pad on the Wii version can't you? Dead Space controlled better than them both anyway...

                    RE4 is a different being. It didn't contain this amount of onslaught. Basically, you have the same controls but with much more enemies to worry about. That makes it harder, and makes the clunkyness stand out.

                    I have no problems with the controls either, I like the demo and I might even look more forward to this than to Killzone 2, but I do acknowledge that they are actually outdated and ****ty for todays standard. As far as RE goes, it was always about **** controls, it kind of made the game. Slow enemies still became difficult thanks to this, it all added to the tension. Its not different now, I have a hard time beating these axe guys.

                    Nowadays people aren't easily fooled, they would say that the controls actually hide a crappy enemy AI. This is also true.

                      and uncharted, and mgs4 (both used over the shoulder cam when aiming/firing)

                      re5/4 seem so dated in comparison to either of these.

                          They're pratically the same, but in the PS3 version it uses QAA (something about motion blur to help AA) and it makes the detail less apparant.

                          Anyway the game looks great and the difference is so minor and won't be noticed in motion that this stuff is just nitpicking.

                              PS3 version look poor compared to 360. No surprise as all Capcom games so far have looked better on 360.

                                At this moment I don't carehow it looks, compared to Dead Space, it is crap, and I loved other RE games. It is time they moved on with the controls.
