    confused dot com LOL
Not played it myself, so until I see what's going on, I can't tell. But from what the devs have said, the bullets holes are actually 3D - I'm not sure how true this is, but I'm hoping for a bit more than a bump mapped decal. It the holes in metal are really applying real time geometry deformation, you may well quickly hit a limit on total "holes" as the triangle count gets too high.

As for concrete deformation, I thought a lot of the cover crumbled? Obviously I'm not expecting it all to be obliterated, but the outer layer to crumble like it does in Gears2.

Sorry man, but I've not seen it so am only going by what the devs said a few weeks back. You can be sure one of the first things I'll do at launch is shoot a wall up close and see what's going on

That control scheme makes it difficult to shoot when you are leaning and peaking though so I stuck with the default one.

Wow. Just Wow. Just finished the demo, and while its hard to judge the game as your thrown straight in, from whats here i must say i am completley blown away. Audio, graphics and AI all amazing. I will admit the controls were very weird at first. having zoom (look down sights) mapped to R3 was strange. However for me and Call Of Duty lovers Alternative 2 with Hold to Zoom on is absolutly perfect. Anyway now that i have the best control method im off to play some Lumines and than play again. Amazing game.

That's a concern I have with the PS3 pad. Great on some games, but possibly not enough resistance for FPS accuracy. Adjusting the sensitivity down a bit may help. Does it have proper analogue controls, or those bloody awful elastic-band aim controls which I LOATHE?

Bloody hell Guerrilla actually made a game that isn't ****!

I had to mess around with the sensitivity settings but after that it was good stuff. Short demo (with blatant use of the section that resembles the infamous E3 video in setup) that's got me hankering to play more.

Roll on the end of the month

To put it quite simply, for me this is the most stunning experience since the original Gears of War and this is the best FPS of this generation so far. It sets a new standard and I will probably compare others to this one.

I simply love the controls, sounds, feel, gore, AI, everything. GOTY contender fo sho. Teh lowlands are the Ps3's saviour.

The gameplay, well it has no assist but the controls are still pretty much tight as far as pads go. It feels heavy which I find to be a plus, everything makes a bigger impact. CoD4 is now pretty much an arcade game.

              *like moi.
So others have found it as well :O

Its the only way I play KZ2, but I might change. Its not optimal when it comes to cover.

nub. Everyone likes their own setup. I saw this control scheme. Recognized it instantly. Got used to it and now I am a lean, mean killing machine!

It's exactly what I expected, a very good looking and pretty solid FPS. I do love the weight to the combat and guns but after trying the demos now for FEAR 2 and KZ2 I am definitely looking forward to FEAR 2 a lot more than Killzone 2. That's not really a slight on KZ2 as such, I just love the combat in FEAR a lot more. It'll be interesting to see how I feel after playing both full games and after trying out KZ2's multiplayer, which does look particularly good.

February is definitely a good month anyway for games, especially if you're a FPS fan

What? You can come to that conclusion from a 15 minute demo?

The weighty controls of the player is somewhat at odds with the flimsy feel of the ps3 pad, making it feel a bit wierd.]
I thought it was just me, I thought exactly the same, probably need to buy a duel shock for a bit more weight !

I bought a Dual Shock as soon as. The sixaxis feels like a fisherprice toy in comparison, to think the lack of weight on a controller would be such an annoyance.

Still haven't played the demo yet, virgin media is being slow tonight. I'm still downloading the bloody thing.

Anyone noticed at the loading screen you can move/tilt the pad and the picture there moves accordingly? Hmmm, wot other usage of titling in the title i wonder?

Yep, the basics, feel, looks and most important of all gameplay won't really change in the full game. Just the set-pieces will. But its already confirmed that the SP, while a tad short (CoD4 ish) is one big pile of adrenaline. And the multiplayer I already played, is the best i've seen on the Ps3 so far.

So yeah, i am positive with my conclusion. That this will be the best FPS of this gen so far. I don't even expect MW2 to get close in terms of AI and Cell powered visuals, as IW could of only worked like 2 years on it... I expect same old (but still good) CoD.
