I played it through quite a few times 'underarm', and had no problems with wiimote accuracy at all.

I find the wii mote on it's own horrible to play with due to angle in forces your wrist into. I've been using a gun attachment and trying to play looking down the barrel. Because it's not actually a real gun game should I just keep both eyes open and point "underarm"?

It's very annoying and I can see the game is excellent but the accuracy is killing it for me.
      Works fine for me.

Are you sure your Wii sensor isn't being occluded by the bezel around your TV? Perhaps when you get close you're being partially chopped off? Or the lighting isn't decent?

I'll translate that into HOTD:Overkill speak for you.

        Lol, nice.

Now I know why this game is 18s. You need some sort of physics degree to get the aim working. I was crap at physics.

I'm having a bit more luck though.

I'm playing it under arm with the gun basically in my lap. It feels like a stupid way to hold a gun but at least I can hit things that way. I cannot seem to to get it accurate at all holding the pistol up like a real gun.

I have the sensor right at edge of the tv cabinet. Not obscured. I have also turned to sensitivity up to 5 for whatever difference it makes.

It's not perfect but I guess it's at least playable the way I have it. How anyone plays this with a reticule is beyond me. It's the only reference I have of where I'm pointing.

I have found another bizzare error though. As soon I select my overkill profile the reticule can no longer enter the top 1/8 of the screen. I've tried recalibrating dozens of time. If anything is up in that section I cannot point at it. nothing in game so far is that high but a couple of the extra screen with music and memorabilia cannot be pointed at to select. The reticule is fine on the wii menu and in the opening screens of overkill. It's bonkers stuff.

It's not accurate. It's like a mouse isn't it? Not as pronounced as RE:UC mind.
Try Ghost Squad for accurate aiming stuff.

How does that game differ? Surely the accuracy is determined by the hardware?

Same problem I have. Really cool game and all that but if I put Time Crisis on, the level of accuracy kills the Wii shooters.

I'd suggest something is wrong with your set up, I've played many a wii light gun game and I've never had any gripes about the accuracy. I have always played them on a smaller set up though.

Confirmed for the PS3 with 2 new levels.

Awesome. Was considering buying this again for Wii after having rinsed several times and traded...no longer. Gonna paint my wiimote black and stick a pingpong on the end!

That is great news, I was playing this recently and was thinking how slick it would look all HD'd up.

Been playing the PS3 version of this over the weekend, never played the Wii version before so a bit late to the party on this but can only echo the positive comments for it, it really is excellent fun.

Only things to add is the frame rate is solid, never noticed any dips, now has online leaderboards and the two extra stages are excellent, they hold up really well against the original set of stages so definately not an afterthought as sometimes tends to be the case with ports. Also read that the boss fights have been improved but no idea how, maybe someone who has played both can confirm this?

Is this out on the PS3 in PAL land? I thought it hadn't been released yet.

                            Pal version came out Friday.

One more thing I forgot to mention the game also supports 3D as well as the old style Red & Cyan 3D glasses, unlike the US version PAL copies include a pair of these as well.

Picked this up last Friday as it was cheap and even though I don't own a Move controller thought it could be a decent blast. Only done the initial one or two stages but really enjoying it It's really well done and refreshing for the series to have its tongue in its cheek. Whilst a move controller would be ideal, it's still playable enough using the analogue stick too.

^I'll add that the PS3 version of this is currently ?8 in Morrisons. Tempted myself, but already have the Wii version w/handcannon and don't have Move.
