Fun, fun, fun. Well impressed. Now Sega can I have HotD4?

Having now completed the standard story mode, I've just spent a little more time replaying most of the levels to unlock more content. I feel pretty confident that I can reach Goregasm Bonus and stay there consistently.
Yeah, I've done the same for my Directors Cut playthrough, maxing out the Shotgun has let me beat the 2 minute Goregasm achievement. You can also unlock a

      Hand Cannon

for use in the game, haven't tried it yet though.

This game is total class. I've been plating it using a Nyko Perfect Shot (link here, or just search Amazon.com if that doesn't work), which is modelled after a Colt 1911 automatic pistol in the same way the Hand Cannon is modelled after a Colt Python revolver. Similar benefits, and FAR better than the Menacer.. er, I mean, the Wii Zapper

I was actually interested in the Hand Cannon but it seems to be a bit harder to get hold of over here? But anyway, yes, the game is excellent. It's nice to see a developer (that isn't Nintendo) trying to push the Wii graphically, as opposed to that whole "weakest graphically of this gen means we get away with PS2-level graphics" mindset.

(Also, this is my first post in about a year or something )

I'll join the fanclub for this

Loved both Ghost Squad and the first HOTD on wii but this is a great addition.

Its the first game I can recall that makes me regularly laugh out loud at the cutscenes and in game dialogue, huge kudos to the devs for not only coming up with a great gun game but putting such a great package of art/music together.

the dialogue of Washingon in particular is just brilliant.

          a perfect lightgun game.

been a good week for gaming with this, flower and crayon physics.

Probably the best ending to a game i've seen for a long, long time. Had me chuckling and cringing at the same time. The misses was quite repulsed by it, ha, which made me laugh even more. Still, she did see the funny side

Love how Washington gets all philosophical too. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

Ah man.... If the first level of the Director's Cut is anything to go by, then we're in for a real treat all over again. Amazingly it's not just a superficial increased difficulty by making the foes tougher , but rather lots of extra content, different areas and scenarios. Looks like lots of care was put into this mode, commendably so.

There’s also the limitation of only three continues. Looks like lots of high scoring is due to upgrade those weapons!

edit: I originally thought the three continues were for the entire play through but it seems its a limitation per level, which isn't quite so hard :-)

Wow, the impressions here are really positive. I especially love that the ending made your missus cringe. HotD2 is just about the only game my missus loves outside of Space Invaders and Lumines so I'll have to get this for her.

Me and the misses was just watching something on the tv and there appeared a rather large lady... and to my utter surprise the misses says "she's one fat mother f*cker" ...

She then looked at me almost in horror when she realized what just slipped out of her lips! Ha. She never usually swears, never... I have to admit that Washington has been rubbing off on me too

Whats the trigger like on the nyko perfect shot? I bought a cheap knock off and the Gun Cannon, both their triggers are preety lousy for this.

I dont mind the Hand Cannon, but the Nyko is much, much better. Feels nice and weighty and has a nice trigger.

                        I'd recommend it.

Anyone know if this works with Freeloader on a US Wii ? Mate of mine fancies going out to get a hold of the PAL version as he's too bloody impatient to wait for the NTSC one!

Do the soft mod and install the homebrew channel. Easy to do as i've done it myself, just hope he has the right firmware to do it. If you look in the help section on console, you should find some more info on it.

                              well, I couldnt wait either.

It doesnt work on a WiiKey modded wii, but runs runs fine on my unmodded US Wii via Homebrew channel.

Cheers mate, will give Gamestation a call tomorrow to see if they still have any in stock.

The hand cannon is ok, it just seems to like miss shots even though i've pulled the trigger. Which can be annoying with the fast pace of the game. I like firing shots off fast, its just the way i learned to play HOTD from HOTD2. Head shot first then straight down.
