    Your not wrong, amazing stuff.

I was like, 'that new lighting engine they've got is amazing....oops...'...lol!

Some great stuff there, particularly like the 2nd and 2nd from bottom...

I don't get it, what are they actually!?

They're HDR versions of the games character models, imposed onto real world photos.

Some guy is trying to make a HL2 short movie using those models.

Just realised I never actually finished this game after spending all that money on a new PC for it.

So I put it on for the last half hour or so, I think I'm on the second last level and then this happens out of the blue!?

The game then ended and went back to windows.

Any ideas what that means and why it happened?

There could be a problem with one of your memory sticks. Download this, and run it. If it doesn't show any errors by 800% coverage, you're in the clear, and the fault was an anomoly. If it shows up RAM errors, then...

... you can do one or two things about it. The first and most obvious is to replace the RAM. You can find out which stick is faulty (if you have more than one), by removing one and running Memtest again.

If you don't want to go to the expense, you can try underclocking your RAM in BIOS, which solved the problem for me when I had it. The problem naturally is that you'll have slower RAM, but I doubt it'll make that critical a difference to the performance of your machine.

If your RAM's under warranty, best thing to do is identify the problem module and send it back.

New Aftermath details revealled by Gamespot

The article has some very minor spoliers about what the game will entail plotwise, and also features three new pics.

The great news is that it's due to be finished soon as should be out "well before the end of the year".

The only bad news is that its expected to be a little bit shorter than HL2.

              But still, more HL2 soon

Yeh read that earlier. More HL2, can't wait tbh.

Seems that due to the EA deal, Aftermath will also be released in shops and not just over Steam as first planned

With no broadband, I'm screwed in getting Aftermath (or not).

Then again, I haven't been able to play Half-Life 2 as much as I would have liked due to Valve's inability to solve the stuttering problem, eight months down the line.

Edit: I need to read the second above post. Whoops.

So, after seeing that trailer does anyone else reckon that it's

                          Dr Breen

                          speaking at the end?

                            Apparently the voice is G-man.

                            G-man sounding angry.

                            Hooooo mama.

A better quality version is now up over at Gametrailers (better quality as in its bigger than the free view one on Gamespot)

I'm not so sure that's the G-man though. Doesn't sound like him to me, but who knows what direction this games going to take
