I thought that was a cool mission too, I suffered a couple of deaths until I twigged the right tactics on one side, which is where the good checkpoints aided my lack of frustration.

start of the 3rd island feels a lot harder, first couple of blue story icon missions in particular seem to notch up the difficulty.

Completed the good side last night, enjoyed pretty much everything about it, really liked how they went about the story all being done in game via your phone, TV reports, and the satellite messages and just kept cutscenes to a minimal and only when they were essential, also can't even recall ever being bored with a single mission which is usually the case with these sort of games.

Usually I'd start something else but I think I'm going to get straight back into it to do the other ending. For those that have completed the good side theres one bit of the story I'm slightly unsure about, when you defeat

Kessler, theres a cut scene where he says he and his family fled from the beast instead of using his powers, whos the person he's fleeing from, not sure if it's meant to be yourself if you play the infamous ending

I'm amazed at the talk of "tactics" in this game as the only one I've found that works is masshing the R1 whilst aiming!

I like the zoom (but it's stupid being on the "up" button) though it uses a lot of energy and I've just got the missile-esque one, which is cool.

147 in Neon, 135 in Warren and 68 in Historic. There's also a map here. On this playthrough I think I'm going to get all on each island before moving on, to save confusion. Shame they don't provide something akin to the dead drop tracking when you only have a few left on each island.

I thought that when you hit L3, the shards showed up as dark blue circles? If that's not them, what the hell are those blue circles?

Yeah, that's them, but it's no use if you're not within range of the shards (Which happens often when you only have a few to get in an area). Would be nice if it indicated which direction the nearest shard is in that case, same as it does with the dead drops.

On hard it gets chaotic so my tactic on that was always to keep high. If any mobs start coming and Im on ground Id climb up to a building and pick em off. If theirs a place to charge near me its easy to keep doing that if not and thiers a rail track or a leccy line id grind that then pick em off. You really can get overwhelmed very quickly on hard if your ground level but saying that I didnt find it that hard at all on hard didnt die that much and the last bit was easiest part of the game for me lol

I think thats the only think Id like in a patch/sequel is the mobs learn to climb up the building to flank you as their great at flanking if their already up their or on ground level but if your higher then them they do stand abit abit.

If theres alot of mobs, i usually mix it up with shockwave or grenade to break them up. Always aiming for headshots quickly thins numbers too. Also the rocket is brilliant, it has a lock on feature if you upgrade it. Fire a couple of rounds of that off, then aim at the people you want dead and keep shooting at them normally till the rockets hit.

The one thing this game really made me crave for was a new Sly Cooper game. The platforming in this game when it occurred was fantastic and really enjoyable.

I have some niggles with the game but overall I had a blast and found it electrifying (sorry). If they can fix some of the niggles such as increasing the amount of damage that you can take and a bit more variety to the city I'd accept it with open arms. Shall go back and have an Evil playback on Hard sometime soon me thinks also, should be fun!

You do know that if you absorb electricity it heals you right?
I noticed you mentioned you were using cover behind a car alot, i would try and roll out to the nearest power supply to heal myself if i was in the red. Even taking it from the car heals you a little bit to give you that little extra bit of legs to find more.

Are you sure it does? I know you can heal yourself with some of the upgraded powers, but I didn't think that just draining electricity impacted your immediate physical state?

Yeah, it heals you. The more you drain the quicker it fades away. Cole even mentions it at the beginning of the game, but its one of those lines you can easily forget though. Of course you can also drain while getting shot, which impacts the speed of it but its better than waiting behind cover for ages.

Its a huge benefit to gameplay, i was doing it alot towards the end of the game.

I didn't even realise it healed you until the later stages, I used to try and find some cover and wait to replenish by which point I usually ended up getting shot at, wish I'd known earlier as it would of saved me dying a lot.
