Servers are getting hammered, it's a pain in the arse to get into a game at the moment. Setting up private matches doesn't help either.

this is exactly why we do need dedicated servers but got as much chance of getting that off M$ as me winching Megan Fox.

What, we need them so then there aren't enough of them and nobody can connect to one?

Played a few matches this morning and every match I joined had huge lag, i'ed move forward and then my character would react 5 seconds later for at least 10 matches - possibly because the servers were getting slammed I hope.

I've played 5 games now and had zero lag on any of them, I just have trouble connecting. After choosing quick game a few times or six I generally get in to a game.

We've been over this in this forum a few times before. Some people still don't get the notion that for your fiver a month you should expect a service.

Dedicated is superior in every way; except when the publisher skimps on backend hardware. FWIW, I'll take an evening or two of Searching For Games, knowing eventually we'll have a superior gaming experience.

I finally got into some games tonight and it was a bit laggy, had glitchy graphics and has now frozen. The planes are stupid to control and there's no satisfying melee sound effect. I think Bad Company is better.

Been trying since early afternoon, and no dice. If this carries on, my space-bucks will be on hold for Monkey Island next week.

finally got into a game and played for half an hour or so. seems very good so far. I'm crap at it but it feels just like the other BF games.

Played a few more games just now and I'm really enjoying it. I just noticed it has a similar medal system to Bad Company but it's postcards instead of medals. The destructible scenery as seen in Bad Company is great fun as always. I was chasing a guy who ran into a building and instead of chasing him through it I just blew the wall away then killed him with my rifle before he could react, very satisfying.

I still haven't got into a game...and i've tried on and off since this morning. I love me Battlefield too. :/

Same as you. But been trying on and off since late afternoon. The ace piece of music was only good for so long, Its been destroyed by its repetitive nature and by the repetiveness of being told can't connect to EA servers.
