      No and no.

briareos_kerensky: I'm probably going to be online again tomorrow night as I'm busy Wednesday this week. Quite happy to lend a hand.

Use the wiimote pointer to check the description of things you need, it usually helps.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I'll finally get Wiispeak AND a USB keyboard, so no more chat problems...will have to decide which one to use as I'm on wired connection...

Not that it's very important but i realised yesterday you could register monsters into your hunter notes after you beat them, always thought you had to do it whilst they were alive. lol...

Oh cool. I never thought to try that.

I only use a keyboard myself.

Due to my Wii Speak needing a Wii Tweak to get this working right, I will be using a USB keyboard tomorrow evening about 7 - 9pm ish if anyone is around?

With an US copy, yes. For me it's either Wii Speak or a keyboard, depending on which I feel to use as one of my USB ports is buy with the network adapter.

USB splitters/hubs work fine, just not for the network adapter.

First true online outing, completed a couple of easy quests with an other fellow hunter and it felt great.
I was surprised that even Lv1 quests send you to other places than Moga Woods: hunted down Ludoroths in the Flooded Forest for the first time and I was more interested in materials than anything else.

Will get one, never used them as PC nowadays don't really need extra USB ports...BTW, which hour (and time zone) do you think you'll be online? I'm available from 8 to 23-ish pm UK time.

[edit] forgot to ask: any good hints on how to capture a monster? Tried to capture a Great Jaggi but even after seeing him retreat for three times it wasn't captured by a shock and pitfall traps, even with me throwing tranquillizer bombs.

Loveing this up untill the egg hunts popped back up around level 3, is this like the first game in that you have too complete every quest to get to the next level?

This stopped me playing the first game I hope it won't spoil my enjoyment of this as I could never find anyone online wiling to do these quests.

Found the best way to capture anything is to let it retreat to its lair to either sleep or replenish itself. Once it does that, lay a shock trap and throw tranq bombs. Should take 1-3 to knock it out.

The egg hunts are not necessary to progress to the next level. Use this site to see which quests are Key Quests i.e the ones you have to do.

Easiest way to capture is to wait until the monster is limping, and goes back toward it's lair. In the next area put a trap down and hit it with tranqs. It should take EXACTLY 2 hits to catch it.

The shock trap can be used underwater, yes you can capture there too.

Do all monsters in the game limp off at some point, giving you the sign that it's trap time?

                                Yeah, they'll give you signs.
Whether it's limping or slowness of movement. With the Monsters that charge at you (Barroths/ Rathians) the charges will be a lot slower.

Had some rough games yesterday where connection issues were a problem.
More annoying the fact that our team:
capped a Rathian > Quest Completed displayed > connection error > resorted back to before quest... nooooo...

I will be on in a couple of hours, and later in the evening to hunt me some Herman Gobuls, Rathians and the odd Baggi.

Feel free to join my epic-quest-failness.
