If you think about it there would be no reason in letting you set how many players you wanted otherwise. its not about limiting games to just you and your mate or whatever, becuase you can set a password for that anyway.Last edited by rmoxon; 05-05-2010, 02:35.

Well, no big problem, starting to really like the game, I'll be online more.

When you start a mission online there is a settings menu where you are asked how many players its for, if you put that its for one you can obviously only play solo but the enemies take the same ammount of hits to kill as they do in the single player game that way.
Got my first Switch Axe last night, probably my favourite weapon type so far, loving it.

Well thats weird becuase it changes things for me... I doubt I have imagined it, Even after 40 odd hours I doubt I am good enough at the game to to complete some of the online missions that I have solo if what youre saying is correct. You have me doubting myself now though so will check later, just hard to belive ive played quite a bit online and am wrong about it.
As I mentioned earlier though there isnt even a point in letting you select how many players you want if this isnt why as the only other reason you would need to use it would be to restrict missions to just your friends or whatever, but you can set a password for that.Last edited by rmoxon; 05-05-2010, 11:49.

You need a better edge to it - green/blue/white.
I had my behind handed to me by Barioth earlier. Lagiacrus and Rathalos were nothing compared to him. He's THE toughest, with Diablos in second place and (possibly) Uragankin in third. Evil Joe is easier in my opinion.
I need to go back to using other weapons.

I'm in the Ingot set right now, that plus the bowgun above is perfect for taking out Lagia. I'm going to go against Rathalos more tonight, the barrel made from him is even better - boosted fire shells + shield.

My personal favourite bowgun can't be made until you've beaten 6*:
Frame: Jaggi Fire
Barrel: Evil Machine
Stock: Devil Wing
Combined with the Evil Joe armour set, it's great against anything as it can fire every different kind of elemental shell.
Sadly there is no one good bowgun to start. The heavy one is probably best because it has a shield. You'll have to spend some time finding good combinations of parts tailored to fighting different monsters.
The barrel I was looking forward to making doesn't boost fire shells sadly, I must have been thinking of the Agunaktor one.

been playing this for a bit and really enjoying it I'm probably only 3 big wyvern in. Ive got a full set of great jaggi armor and looking towards building up a Royal Ludruth one, he was hard to take down on my own but i did it first time lol.
Mainly been playing this offline but stuck my toe online last night to see how the setup is there and its not bad. if any other lowly players are about at the weekend and fancy helping me out with the first lot of quests give me a shout.
