I've only had one shoot out against a friend but didn't like it as of yet. I really think they should revert back to the ISS method of doing things and use the keeper and shooting boxes, which you can choose to use or hide. It was more psychological and there wouldn't be nearly as much ambiguity.Comment

The ISS 64 method was brilliant. Simple but very effective. The better the stiker the smaller his aiming box for higher accuracy and the better the keeper the bigger his box.

Here we go my impressions after finally gettin this shipped from England. I disagree strongly first off that this is a bad game and think some people who speak so negatively of it think that god was going to float into the room upon loading it up. I also want to deeply thank 01Srainey from WENB as his option file is amazing and I can see a lot of time went into it. The beautiful graphics
Positives
The beautiful graphics. I have played all my 25 or so games on Top player and used Chelsea in a Master League for the most part and used Tottenham and the Netherlands in two friendlies. On Top player I feel some teams are hard to play against and some not so, and what I think makes this game brilliant is the fact that every team seems to play differently. E.g Barca allow lot`s of space for me to play but when they attack it`s so flowing and dangerous. Where as Man City would attack in a faster style and more direct way of playing. The tactics can change a game a lot. The pace of the games felt a bit fast at first but now I`m used to it I think it`s fine. The game is very satisfying when you score and the elation felt is like PES of old imo.
Tactics in this game can be great. I was 1-0 down against Inter in a Champions league quarter final and at home and I found once I moved the attacking support up to 95, and used the all out attack strategy this pinned them back and hence me scoring very late on. I noticed as mentioned by others too that the smaller teams sit back. I love the way each team is different.
The player individuality is definitely there as when I played Man City Wright-Phillips and Robinho caused me all sorts of problems with Robinho performing a trademark skill to skin my back 4. I have seen some magical touches from certain players as they do in real life. Shooting is fun again especially with Lampard etc

As mentioned by many people the animations, there needs to be more. I still feel button delay but you get used to this and I have only ever got angry with it once, as it did not respond when I was in an in the box scramble. Sometimes in PES2010 I feel the passes can go astray some where I have told it to do one thing and it does the other. The atmosphere when I score seems to not even be there sometimes even when I`m the home team which is strange we all also know about the annoying commentary and chants so don`t really need t go into that.
Other negatives I have found is the refs as mentioned they are a big problem I hope the patch fixes them as I get clattered and don`t get anything most times. Although I want the game to flow blatant fouls should not be ignored!
Another gripe is sometimes the A.I can be a bit stand offish or the keepers make a blunder not coming for the ball and almost invite me to shoot. This may be different when playing against some other teams though.
I`m very happy with the general feel of the game but need to use more teams to feel a different variety of styles. Not used online yet and waitin to see what the patch does too. I`m sure online will be k though as everyone mentioned before it was stable at least.

Not sure if this is the right place, but there is an amazing new option file out 10.2 from 01SRainey on the forums WENB forums. Has most of the German teams inc Bayern, Dortmund etc and Newcastle! Plus all the stuff from the previous option file e.g badges Chelsea kit etc.

Arrgh, the goddamn refs are spoiling this for me.
My current defensive strategy is to simply cheat and hack down any opposition players that get in the box. Whether I do it, or it is done to me, there is never a penalty given. In fact I haven't seen a penalty in this game at all yet. This shouldn't happen.Comment

I agree with this and although it`s slim but hope the update fixes this. I too get hacked down constantly, the ref gives nothing to me. Me also no peno yet and I have played at the very least 20 ML games and 5 friendlies. Plus some online stuff. Picked this up at weekend and really enjoying it. Scored some great goals and done some lovely little passing moves. Obviously it's not perfect especially the online side of things. One thing that really gets on my nerves is the time it takes to respond after pressing a button. It really messes up any kind of intricate passing and has a huge impact when defending. Don't get me wrong i know it's the same for everyone but the quality of football on show takes a real nosedive.
Anyway i'm undefeated up to now online and have a 12 game winning streak. I'm sure it won't last for long!Comment
