If I am honest I think thats your fanboyism speaking. Remember I have been into PES since the start and before.
I have scored a wonderful variety of goals in Fifa from 30 yard screamers to volleys from clever knock ons. There is nothing scripted about either game, Fifa is just very difficult to play due the the analogue shooting.

You're both right. On the one hand you CAN score a variety of goals, I've scored a
few screamers as well as the odd volley and even a few back heel flicks.

On the other hand there are a few things that are just far more effective. I played about 3hrs of online clubs last night and at least 80% of the goals we conceded were either 1 on 1 chips over the keeper (way too easy to score on this) or yet ANOTHER tap in from a ground pass across the penalty area

No, I'm very open minded. I have FIFA and have played it a lot and have enjoyed it, but with an equal amount of frustrations. Just don't have the desire to play it again at the moment with PES providing me with some epic online matches. Something I can't say I really had on FIFA. Every match seemed to play the same no matter what team or players were on that field. I'm sorry, I'm really not trying to cause a ruckuss here. IT's from the football game heart.

And yes, the chips were the final nail last week

This is the key point where Fifa10 fails big time, individuality in players and teams. If Fifa gets this right then maybe they will be on to an outright winner, but PES2010 does this element so much better. I think some reviews of Pes2010 were very harsh this year maybe in previous years not harsh enough and Fifa10 this year the reviews were too lenient. Both are brilliant in different ways. My 2 pence.

I would agree to some extent. PES does have more individuality but each team feels very different in Fifa. I cannot use Man Utd for love no money on Fifa yet I am killer with Arsenal. I find Villa miles too lightweight but Spurs have the pace with a little more power. Its not on the same level as PES mind which has always been great at getting the right feel of players.

You should of seen Aguero the other night when I played Ezee. You could tell it was him and he was doing some sneaky runs. He got me out of trouble in extra time to draw the game 4-4. After that, Ezee thought he'd get himself some of that Aguero action, whilst I went Bordeaux. I did think I was going to get bummed, but I had a midfield general and play maker of Gourcuff. I won freakily 6-2 lol. That's a one off I reckon. Reckon Ezee will be back up to a level above me once he's spent more time with.

I love how the pes fanboys always trot out the same old line about how 'next year' konami will be back to their best. Its like liverpool and their 'next season' line. Its been how many years since the last truly brilliant pes?? (the last one i bought was pes 08 on 360 and it was pretty dire).
FIFA is not perfect but its pretty damn close nowadays.

Nothing wrong with being a fanboy. Just admit thats what you are and dont try and pretend that from an objective point of view that pes is actually delivering on its promises.
Every year we get the same old routine:-

1. Seabass startes that this years pes is a return to form, built from the ground up. Apologies for last years not being up to scratch.
2. Early info/screens look promising, everybody gets excited.
3. Demo released - same as last year + better graphics.
4. Konami state demo is not 'full build'.
5. Final game released - same as demo (+ maybe 5% at most)
6. Seabass apologises - revert to point number 1.

Is this not accurate?
