Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (PES 2010) [360/PS3/PC]

Yeah didnt say it couldnt be done, it just requires you to actualy play the game properly and shoot right, and as I said its quite difficult to do (just like in real life). In Pro Evo you can probabaly score from your own 6 yard box with your eyes closed, the shooting is that silly, and the keepers are that bad.

Yeah sorry bud was just trying to point out it requires some skill to score from range!


Hoolak the game isnt utter ****e at all. But i think 6/10 is fair. There is fun to be had but I just think it should be so much better.

I primarily bought this for the online and offline multiplayer. It's been a while since I played through Master League properly, but I may do that again this year.

The online for me has been very solid. I've been matched up to people abroad on a few occasions and the game displayed a bit of lag, but after last year's effort, I'm more than happy with the improvements to the online. I've won about 35-40% of my online games. Everybody seems to play Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter. I did start off as Brazil, but reverted back to England and find myself doing much better with them. Even Heskey as the front man works!

Looking forward to some online games in the Community with some of you lads here, but haven't online at the same time as you guys as of yet.

The good thing about doing the Community thang is we can experiment with different teams. Reckon you will surprise yourself just how good some lesser used teams are due to having the odd one or two quality players i.e. Gourcuff at Bordeaux.

I'm working hard up until Thursday, so I won't be about until then. Anyone interested in trying some 2v2 action?

Much happier with the balance online, the game is a million times better for it. I always play a relative underdog online so not tried any top tier teams yet but obviously played a few. Only had "no chance" against Brazil (was Japan) but still created. Kaka was quicker with the ball than my defenders - easier to tackle though than before. Also, Man C tore me a new one with pace (Barry?! and Robinho) against Lyon. Still difficult to play with patience but it can be done. Look forward to trying this out against you guys as I actually enjoyed it online for the first time. It is frustrating having to work my nads off to create chances and seeing the opposition cut through with X, X, X but that does not breach the last line anymore, so I feel much happier.
Better when I win too. Only one bad loser tonight too when I was winning by 2-1 against his/her Brazil.mid tier teams are great to play with as always.

Have one problem with the online. I've not been able to join rooms in Community mode or have other people join my game/match room. The online mode with VS Match against randoms works perfectly fine, but in a community between mates I know, it won't work at all. I've not seen anything on the forums regarding this so far. Can anybody shed some light on my problem?

Ive only had time for a few goes on Sunday so far, but im really liking this already.

Online mode seems to be working fine, with lots of new options that are a welcome inclusion. The only downside here is that it seems most of you lot are playing the PS3 version this year - am i right? What happened to the xbox 360 love we used to have?!

Gameplay seems great too, ive seen a few nice moves already and the video Hoolak posted fills me with anticipation and excitement to play the game a lot more. Player likenesses are also stunning in many cases, and im not just talking about the faces, but also the way certain players run with or kick the ball. Really good stuff.

Its slightly painful having to work through editing the team names yet again though. Is there a way of getting option files for the 360?

Great to see some normal comments I am still waiting for my super slow air mail PES2010. One thing that is beginning to annoy me is some people are so negative. Yes it`s not the perfect football game but I`m 90% it`s not utter rubbish as some people seem to make out. People may label me with the fan boy tag, but to be honest as we all know there are good and bad points to any video game.

I also believe most negative comments I read are made then not backed up with any explanation. I`m sure I`m going to enjoy PES2010 when I get it, and always remember nothing is perfect and if I do hate it I will explain why and then give it more time. I highly doubt it will be as bigger let down as when I bought The Bouncer or Automodellista so it won`t be a problem. I sometimes think people think if you like PES you must have a screw loose nowadays, but this is simply not true. Just because it is the Tottenham of the football game world does not mean you can`t like it.

The one good thing about the game is that, as you say, some of the goals do look spectacular, on FIFA its increabley hard to score out of the penalty area, in this you usualy get about 6 goals a game that are scored from the half way line, its just a shame that you dont really feel like youve done anything to warrant them.

Crikey, what game are you playing?! I rarely score goals on this from outside the box, let alone regularly. Just finding the space for a clear shot is often tricky enough, but then actually getting the right player to hit it with his favoured foot and on target is another challenge.

I think thats one of the reasons why i prefer Pro Evo actually - the strengths and weaknesses of each player really have an effect on how you approach things from pass to pass. You really have to get to know your players in Master league for example to make sure you are getting the best out of every one of them by playing to their strengths, particularly when the difficulty is ramped up and you are playing a far superior team, with goal scoring chances at a premium.

I've downloaded the file and saved it to my USB stick, but where in the PS3 menu's do I access the USB thing and copy the files?

And which file am I copying to the PS3? The one titled PS3, or do I have to copy each individual file separately?

You copy it over in Game saves, just copy everything except system data and the replay.

Make sure you copy of the 'PS3' folder with all its content to the stick. So, PS3 folder will be at the root. Once in the PS3, go to the Game section of the XMB and choose Save Game section, you should see the USB memory stick icon at the top of this section.

Next, enjoy the next 15-20 mins copying over all the image files and the EDIT DATA file. Like Del Boy said above, don't bother copying the System Data or the Replay.

Proper ball ache. There's a multiple delete/copy function in the music section, but not for the save game bit. Reckon it's only something that PES players need though, so the restriction has probably not been moaned at Sony much.

Hopefully, the next Option File will have Bundesliga and all internationals with proper kits.

I'm playing Playing Pro Evo 2010, which years version are you playing? it dosent sound like this one.

Besides a few star players, many feel just plain wrong and some have stats that, at least personally, i dont agree with at all.

Apparently Micheal Owen is as good an all round player as Berbatov and Rafael controls like he is the worse player on my team, for instance he seems to move like a snail, despite the real life version of him being pretty quick.

I don't know why you cant score very easily, me and a mate had a few games on this in between Fifa last night as he wanted to try it, we were laughing at all the bizzare rocketed goals from miles out. The keepers are funny too, they just seem to fall over alot.
