Been playing this demo quite a bit over the weekend after hammering the FIFA one for a week or so.
I have to say it.... I like them both (shock).
PES seems to be more vibrant graphically with better player
models, more punchy sound effects and generally a louder more in
your face experience. It's also noticeably more HD crisp than previous versions. It's all good but where it fails to engage is in the controls, the players still seem to be on rails and it feels even more jarring when you play this straight after using the 360 control in FIFA. It's saving grace is it's still fun and feels great when you score.
I think I still prefer FIFA as a whole experience but the demo here has convinced me not to rule out buying PES as well. The deciding factor will still be down to whether konami can deliver a decent online code this time. If not Ill probably pass on this altogether, shame.
