PES 2010 does have a lot of glitches in my opinion. Most annoyingly, the collision detection problems. Ball going through limbs. Doesn't happen too much, but when you've played many matches like me, then they do start to slowly tot up.

Anyway, this should make you chuckle lol

See? PES is better than FIFA

you can almost hear the sound of palms smacking into forheads in the Konami PR dept as youtube keeps having various bug/feature vids added.

I know gaming forums aren't the most reasoned of places to look for sensible reaction but the PES demo hasn't generated a largly positive word of mouth this year has it ?

Apologies if someone has already mentioned this but the penalties in this game are bloody awful and irritatingly difficult to take. Why have they changed the view?! Stupid move.

Konami have brought a new more in-depth penalty system to the table. Designed so that the user will now have to be pretty good at taking pens, rather than just choosing a direction and letting the law of player stats mixed with randomizations do the work. Just like mastering free-kicks. It sounds like a nice idea, but truth is, it has confused the hell out of us

Someone deciphered the system and built a diagram to confuse us more. Have fun and good luck...

Yeah I saw that on the WENB website and it is ridiculous. A penalty is a different to taking a free kick, lets be honest here. The new "system" Konami have introduced is just bollocks. They should've just kept it as it was, rather than totally f'ing it up.

Someone was complaining about the penalties in FIFA 10 a few days ago on here and I was rather baffled. The penalties in PES 2010 are the ones people should be complaining about. Utter crap.

Haven't had many pens, but ones I had I scored without thinking. It does look confusing looking at the diagram. I hope Konami have trialed and test the system loads and it's just a case of us getting used to it. Maybe someday we'll appreciate it's new depth... or maybe we'll just slap our foreheads when we get a pen until 2011 comes out.

I think the latter is the most likely outcome.

I have actually been playing the PC demo quite a bit (enjoying it too) and am torn between getting that or the 360 version if the online does actually work.

I downloaded the demo yesterday, and I'm extremely impressed with every aspect of the experience.

The visuals are vastly superior to what has gone before. The pitch looks far more realistic and everything has a true HD quality to it. Most important is the smoothness of the game - which is very slick and everything moves at a good pace without glitches and no clunkiness.

After realising that Konami have delivered something extra special, I decided to download Fifa10 for comparison. Fifa10 is the same old Fifa: poor framerate, clunkiness all the time, and very unsatisfying to play.

If you want your football game to have a SkySports theme, then buy FIFA10. If you want a proper, quality football experience, buy PES2010.

Fifa has a crap framerate - and feels very clunky. The way the graphic engine struggles and has a nauseating shakiness to everything, renders the whole experience a joke. PES2010 is the game for people who put quality over superficial niceties. I must say that PES2010 has a much better engine - and the framerate is very good. FIFA only has the SkySports look and commentators going for it; which isn't something that should make it a big seller, but some people think that sort of thing is more important than the actual gameplay component of a football game.

I played a demo of Pes10 at the TGS show. I have to admit I'm a big fan of all things PES, but I have to say I think the latest batch of FIFAs play better than PES. I don't think FIFA is clunky at all. Actually I thought PES10 seemed slightly tankish in its movement. Granted FIFA has a much better presentation, but I can't see how anyone can say the new FIFAs are clunky.

FIFA is defo not clunky. If anything, it feels weightless.

Anyone played the Winning Eleven 2010 demo on the JPN PS3 store yet? It's a newer build than the PES demo - complete with 360 control and improved goalkeepers. Loving it

I've played it quite a bit and I can only see the different and fewer teams being the difference.
