They've already made two Uncharted games that don't suck, so I think it's fair to say they won't be doing it the Jak and Daxter way.

I hope they continue with the series, but as much as I want more Uncharted RIGHT NOW I'm more than happy for them to take as long as they need.

well, let's say the game come pretty close. i haven't played much but already found some glitches. for instance i've been stuck in the environment and needed to reload. also some strange looking design decisions, like the way how the flashlight works in the game, own gun sounds coming from the back speakers or the shiny wet look of the characters in the cutscenes. but if you want to call these "flaws" is really up to yourself.

Not sure what you mean about the flashlight. You do realise it's clipped to the player's belt, right? There's no point in the game which would need anything else. And I still think the shaders on the cutscene models are some of the best I've ever seen - they look like some weird blend of plastic and human skin rather than actual skin, but they're still better, more alive, than anything in Crysis.

On the other hand I agree, it definitely has its flaws. It's a stunning game, but it's not quite 'perfect'. Little things like the jumping animations, the cover system, bits of the pacing... definitely a contender for game of the year, but you can pick a few holes in it.

Just importing this from Tronix, at the checkout I usually use
'International Priority Mail Flat Rate which is $13:00', but so is 'International FedEx Europe, Asia, Australia, NZ, Mexico, Canada, Mid-East.: $13.00'

Anybody know what the difference is?

The first option goes through the route of international air mail > royal mail.
And at this rate, you'll be lucky to get it within a week. 5-7 days is the usual turnaround.

The second option is express, naturally being FedEx, which will take 3 days on average. And with the Royal Mail strikes going on, this is the safer option. Plus it's trackable. Just make sure you ask tronix to mark the package down, otherwise custom charges with be added.

                Cool thanks.

(This was meant to be in the Demon Souls thread. Oops!)

After a week and 10 hours of gameplay I finally finished it. First of this has to be the best looking game I`ve ever layed my eyes on. Seriously from the art direction, to the lighting and the shear amount of detail surrounding you at all times, It`s just one phenomenol game to look at.

As for gameplay, well It`s loads better than the first. Lots more climbing/platforming in this one and the gun battles have been tonned down abit (which is a very good thing) along with some very nice set pieces which give it a very cinematic feel. TBH I would of liked to see some more puzzles in it, but besides that I struggle to fault the game.

now time to try out the multiplayer

well, it just looks weird when the flashlight is never actually used by the character but instead the cone of light wanders independently with the camera's direction. just a strange design decision if you ask me.

It doesn't wander independently. It follows where Drake is facing. It was the same in the first game.

Finished on Normal and Hard, started playing Crushing yesterday. Doesn't seem too difficult so far (

                          Nepal hotel

), but I'm having to make better use of stealth attacks rather than just wading in all guns blazing!

Anyone got a good statergy for getting the trophy where you have to kill 10 enemies in a row by softening them up with gunfire first then killing them with a single punch?

Seems a pretty mean feat really, theres no indication of when a single punch will kill them.

I haven't done it yet, but I'm going to set the game to the easiest setting then play Desperate Times as there's loads of enemies at the beginning of that chapter. Should be s single pistol shot from the hip followed quickly by a punch.
