Is it just me, or are you guys getting better times with road view (outside bumper) compared to the incar view?

no idea, I just raced inside view so far... however I tried in the demo bonnet view and inside view in I clocked about the same laptimes...

Inside view is the one for me, it makes all a bit intenser and gives a better sensation of speed...

Sorry if this has been asked... Can someone tell me why I might be getting penalties for driving along in the middle of a straight with no cars around? It's really messing up my leaderboard positions when I get a good lap but the game has some problem with it.

It could be that you were penalised on the previous lap - sometimes the "!" doesn't clear when you cross the line and you have to wait until you do another clean lap.

Or, it could be there was a car behind you. Strange I know, but if someone slipstreams you, that's considered a penalty.

It was midway through the lap, so it's not the first thing. The second seems pretty likely though, but utterly rubbish. Completely pointless trying to set decent times in a race, I guess.

Anybody else notice the lack of the Nissan GT-R (the new one) in this game? I wonder if its anything to do with Polyphony and the fact they made the dash display for the real life car!!

I can't remember 100%, but I think Turn 10 said that Nissan didn't want their flagship car to recieve damage in the game, so Turn10 said fair enough and didn't include it. None of that splitting the cars into 'premium' groups like GT5.

yep correct, seems Nissan had all kinds of demands for the GT-R in the game so Turn10 decided not to use the car...

Got this just today, been playing it for a couple of hours. I like it. Its alot more structured then number 2. I like how the races are set up and how you can go and catch up on the other events you haven't cleared yet. The cars feel nice and heavy to drive. I don't understand why it looks so dark on my TV though.

There's been a lot of discussion concerning the GT-R on the Forza forums and as is expected online rumours have suggested it's not in there for pretty much every possible reason.

It's not been excluded due to lack of damage as it has full damage in GT5 and also other racers including Shift and it's not been excluded due to any exclusivity with the Yamauchi's centre console for the same reason.

Now there is a slight chance that Turn10 have chosen to ignore the car due to Yamauchi's involvement but it seems a bit daft. My guess is that it's just going to need to be paid for when it's finally released along with the other essential cars which are missing at the moment.

Picked this up yesterday and it's not nearly as big an improvement over Forza 2 as I was expecting. I dunno, in some ways I can appreciate that what it does it does very well but there's an irrepressible air of sterileness to proceedings, everything feels so antiseptic, there's no edge to it, no character, no soul. It's just Forza 2 with a fresh lick of paint.

For my first design I made a copy of the NTSC-UK logo. It's completely free and if anyone wants it just go to my storefront and it's under the 'group vinyl' tab so you can apply it to any car.

I grabbed this the other day, and stuck it on my F-class Civic just a minute ago. Nice one.
