Bayonetta [PS3/360]

To balance out anyone suggesting that Bayonetta isn't worthy of an "Edge 10", I feel inclined to point out that it's blatantly the best game of this generation.

...now I have gone back to Darksiders I am missing not being able to dodge quickly, the lack of speed and the combos you can run up. So they must have done something right!

I tried Darksiders recently and thought the same. It feels incredibly slow and restricted compared to Bayonetta and consequently not nearly as exciting.

In some ways I wish I'd played Darksiders first and believe I would have enjoyed it before Bayonetta, but after you've been dining on sirloin steak for a couple of weeks, burgers don't do it.

I didn't agree of the Edge 10 initially, though I did think it was close. But since completing it and starting again it's taken it to another level of satisfaction. Trying to achieve 'non-stone' statues on every level might just keep me going all year. I just love palying this game.

Might be mising the obvious but having compelted it the first time, how do you play again using all the weapons etc you hav built up in order to keep adding to them?

Oh I'm not saying you're wrong or anything dude, just balancing the thread out by pointing out that Bayonetta is the best game of this generation.

Although I have no idea what parts of the game "just plain were not fun" I must admit.

Because the game wasn't made by Sega. The 360 version is by Platinum Games which is why it's spot on. The PS3 version was outsourced plus it is built upon the 360 code.

Platinum made the Edge 10/10 Bayonetta for the 360.

Sega made the very dodgy PS3 port.

Sony developed the PS3 patch themselves which make PS3 Bayonetta at least worthy of purchase for those without a 360.

I've read this has received a patch for the PS3 version to allow installations. If so, does it remove the bug where you can get a million halos? Because if so, I'm going to hold off patching - since I still need to harvest some cash!
