i set mine to the very edge of the screen both horizontally and vertically and it looks lerfect in game, my guess tho is that this setting is for tv's that arent quite 16:9 although im probably wrong on that.

Jesus, the multiplayer is amazing. Pure gaming crack. I haven't even touched the campaign mode yet. I've been playing online since 10 this morning and I'm still slobbing out in my boxies. Really must get dressed before the missus comes home from work or she'll go mental. Sniping seems a hell of a lot easier than previous CoD games, which no doubt will annoy a lot of people, but I'm loving pulling off instant one-shot kills for a change. The killstreak perks are a nice addition too. It doesn't seem quite as realistic as MW, with all the crazy toys and options you have to play with. Even the graphics, which are gorgeous, have an almost cartoon-like look to them. But it's great arcadey fun.

I'm not sure why youd want to change them, it just makes it so you can see less if you do.

Played up to the 'controversial' bit in the single player, and wow, the plot is spectacularly stupid and awesome all at the same time.
On the subject of voice acting, I facepalmed when I heard 50 Cent had been drafted in, but was utterly delighted when the game begins with the gruff tones of (mild spoilers)
Lance Henriksen (Bishop from Aliens) providing narration, then going through a training exercise with Keith David (Childs from The Thing) as your instructor.
It doesn't get much cooler than that.
So far I'm liking it. A lot. Nothing revolutionary about it, mind. It's basically just MW turned up to 11.

I think the game is utterly incredible, taking gamers into a almost totally believable war and city (in terms of Visuals) , the sense of scale is almost with out equal and has moved the bar , that all other War games will need to follow .
I don't give a **** if its nothing new , neither was Mario Galaxy, neither is Drakes II ...Who cares... when a game is a well made as those, or this game ? I don't , and what I like , counts a hell of a lot for me

Well, my thoughts so far after playing a few hrs. I'm a few levels in on the 2nd part of the burger bar mission just after you capture it.
Its a great game dont get me wrong & I will be popping on to MP probably every night.
Little irks are that I feel like I've played some of these missions before in 4 just with a different location -
that level where you chase that guy down is similar to the 1 in 4, & I'm sure that ambush just before was in 4 too
.
I also see what dvdmike meant when he said 'press 50p to play' cos I kinda feel like I'm playing Virtua Cop the way endless enemies come towards you & the way they spin from getting hit by your shots & in their vibrant coloured clothes especially on
that level where you chace that guy down
.
The sled section has obviously been patched on & its like playing a level from an old James Bond game tbh.
Didnt think that 'THAT' controversial level was that big of a deal. I dont seem to have been drawn into it as much as most of you have.
I tried not to kill anyone & just blew up signs & stuff, but then youre forced to kill when the filth turn up
Was a bit of a shock towards the end of it tho
when you find out they already knew you were a US undercover agent & pop you
, but was a good set up.
Online is just mental compared to 4. Like a cross between 4 with the speed/weapons of Quantum Of Solace MP. MP levels are nice n big, with lots of little alleys & buildings, & is almost totally free roaming unlike the restrictiveness of 4. If you want to get to a certain area or balcony or rooftop you can get there if you know how. Weapons are pretty mental too, & yes the Sniper does seem easier this time around. Mind u, u are given the super powerfull 1 from 4 from the beginning so that helps. Nice to see some new teams added in the form of the Militia & Navy SEALS.
Its bloody hard tho. ended up with 2-3 kills & 14+ deaths for the 1st 5 or 6 games, then finally got my kills above 10 with a 3 streak (woohoo!). However Team Deathmatch doesnt feel that team working together based anymore & felt more like a single player 'get as many kills as poss' because everyone was going off on their own.
Its a great game so I'm not dissin it totally nor am I doing it to be cool or owt, but I dont think it should win GOTY.
Its made me want to hold onto my copy of 4 just for the fact that MP feels more like team based experience, & WaW is definatley staying in my collection due to the tanks.
Will give my final thoughts when I complete it & more in depth MP view later on.Last edited by EDDIE M0NS00N; 10-11-2009, 16:52.

ok going to post something possitive to make up for earlier tardiness.
First, does anyone remember hellgate london? I think it was that game, anyhow the use of manchester(i think) cathedral as a setting was bashed a bit in the media and pm's.
Well, this game certainly goes way above and beyond that for setting, im not sure if "guts" is the right word, to-go-there etc. But either way they certainly werent afraid to push the boat out and dive right into the ultimate what-ifs in terms of modern war.
I think i heard this quote somewhere "that action films are, a hyper reality, one where we can associate with the setting, but know that car crashes, helicopters exploding etc and happening in a cinematic sense.
Its 'real-life' but real life exaggerated" And that fits pretty well with the campaign I think (youll see the settings im talking about once youve played thro). It could easily be a tom clancy novel or such, so all in all thats a good thing
