Yes, its the Diablo from the Japanese version of GT3. Also available in the US version with an Action Replay. Body was (inevitably... like all the F1 cars) removed from the PAL release.

Made a mistake of refurbishing the Delorean without checking the mileage first... doh!. Still have over 12 million credits so not an unmitigated disaster. If I hot 20 mil before getting the Diablo I will probably buy (the useless) 2010 F1 Ferrari.

WIll do some more Indy runs for a while now, ready for the Paint and Museum Cards at midnight.

Over 25% of the way to Lv 31 with this current Money Grind. WIll probably get my 5th 1000Km/100 race Ticket at this rate. Had a NASCAR with the last one - Dale Earnhardt one this time... first non-Toyota (initially bought the Red Bull Camry).

What's the best race cars for the high end b-spec races? I foolishly spent all my money on a vertigo racing car and it's a bit pap.

I have been making good use of the Formula GT and Minolta Toyota (from the A spec Like the WInd race) for some useful overpowering of the opposition. I am only Lv 21 though. Will have to find a suitably overpowered Euro Supercar for the Lv 21 (?) race, probably my tuned 458. American Lv23 (?) race will probably involve the RM'ed and fully tuned '09 ZR-1 'Vette. NASCAR is the problem as there is not that much scope for overpowering, though my "run in" Camry has about 890 HP and some setting someone used on it. First race in the series was not a problen. Need to figure out how to win the second.

Tried the S Loed Challenge and gave up in disgust as I am nowhere near the bronze time. Thats the trouble with GT5 some of the Challenges/Events (seasonal ones included) are just not an option for me! Normal racing is fine as I can adjust easily for my ability (for that read suitably overpowered compared the opposition). That side of things is fun in my book. Not so the "specials" and later license tests (last 3 on S).

Cheers, won the Minolta and that did the biz!

Loeb challenges were easy I thought. I golded them while I didn't gold the Grand Tour rally race at all for instance. You're only going to get gold if you flick TCS and ASM off.

I've all RUF's now, finally! The '86 was kind of hard to get. Also a Sauber C9 race car, and a Raybrig NSX '00 and the lo res stickers look awful on it.

I also went to do some licenses. IA-10 is ****ing TERRIBLE. Its... RAGE. I got all kinds of sick and twisted thoughts after so many disqualifications.

The AI will suddenly sway to the left at the first straight, they hit me: disqualified. Later on, an AI car will hard-brake at the tunnel all of a sudden: disqualified. After ages of still not reaching the finish line, I settled with silver. I was simply too afraid to take over the leader now that I got so far. If one race highlights GT5's poor AI and rules, this is it.

The only RUF's I have the are RGT, Yellow Bird and (I think) the 3400S.

Just golded all the Gran Turismo Rally sections at the three levels. Found it easy compared to the Loeb ones. Use the Integrale for the two off road stages on Easy and used my RM Elise on the Tarmac. For Intermediate I used an RM Evo IX. For the final section I used the Delta S4 as I figured it should easily overpower the opposition. Saw 180 mph in at one stage.

Not sure if this NOMAD will appear (or whether I missed it with some of the 8 Stage parts to the rally). After buying some cars I still have just over 15 mil.

The Rally has boosted experience to in excess of 540K, I think, out 821K. I suspect a single Indy may be enough to level.

I'm on level 13 and trying to do the rally stage for level 10 and can't get in the the top 3.What cars are you using?

For the Lvl 10 Rally, I used an Evo IX (Premium one) with Race Mod and as much HP as I could get under the limit. I did no adjustments to it and I think Top Speed on the adjustable transmission was about 180. I would have used the Race Modded Impreza '05 (Premium) as it was a little lighter, but I had used the fixed tune ups and it had too much power. If you use either of those do the Race Mod first as some of the tune up parts are fitted with it. Admittedly I used the supposed "cheat" option the Skid Recovery Force on plus ABS of 1, everything else being off. Not entirely sure how much it helped. I figured with my somewhat limited ability I needed all the help I could get!

The game does cheat on some of those stages as it is too dark to see where the road goes and of course it doesn't let you use the Driver's Line. Admittedly by then I was so far ahead on time it didn't really matter.

Braking is the key. I usually start slowing down when the co-driver says what the next corner is, depending on sharpness. 7 is pretty much flat if you are careful. 4-6 reasonably fast and 3 or less requires more care. Unfortunately on some of the tracks the information he gives was somewhat lacking. Get around the corners cleanly for the best times and don't panic if you get a slow down penalty. I have had the odd one or two on some tracks for overcooking a corner and still come out ahead.

On one of the Lv 10 snow stages I made the mistake of overtaking all the AI cars and it only gave me a 10 second lead off the race as none of the others had finished when time ran out. Overtaking 2 of the 3 normally gave a lot better than that.

Try to gold the Loeb challenges anyway.

Beginner Rally I won with a tuned Renault Clio V6.
                          Intermediate with the Loeb C4.
Expert with the Delta S4 prize car you'll get from winning Intermediate.

The AI is terrible on snow courses, you almost can't lose there.

For the Lv 7 Rallies I used the Lancia Delta Integrale (Premium) with oil it has about 212 HP-ish so I added some parts to get it to 243 HP I think it was. 4WD so you can dispense with the Traction Control and just go with ABS and the "cheat"!

You can do the weight reductions if you want an edge but I didn't bother. You may find some aerodynamic aids will make it stick some more (again I didn't fit any). Best to max those on any of the cars that have them, for the higher levels of the rallies. Also for the Tarmac stages buy the best tyres the game lets you use.

I used the Lancer Evo IX (or the Impreza if I hadn't modded it) for the Lv 10 rallies.

I usually struggle to do well at the Special Events but for some reason the Rally seemed easy. For total domination in the Tarmac Lv 7 race I used my RM'ed Elise 111R from which I removed some upgrades to get down to the limit. Being light I won very comfortably. If you can control it the Dirt stage ought to be doable with it. Snow is easier with the slow AI cars
