i finally have all the premium cars available from the dealerships, with the exception of the 20million alfa romeo. if i'd realised that even existed i would have tried to get it before the gifting limit. but i thought i'd already got all the dead expensive cars.

i guess i'll start saving up. but i really want the polyphony fgt thats in the online dealership right now. nice paint job, and its always annoyed me that mine is rather plain. there was a red one available for ages that i put off buying, and then when i really needed one, plain white was only available. i bet as soon as i buy it that silk cut jaguar lm car (my old scalextric fave) will turn up and i'll be broke.

The expensive Alfa is a prize car, so no problem there. From the B spec Expert Historic Racing Cup in fact. Just make sure the 2J is fairly well down the grid.

I bought the orange FGT last time it was there as it had a particularly low mileage.

Still contemplating a splash out on the current Veyron Colour. A few Lambo races at Nurburgring Short GP at 159K credits a time will soon get some cash back!

On repainting the 2010 Camaro regardless of the original colour, you get black stripes as standard. I now have a rather "fetching" Barbie version!!! Passionate Pink (LFA colour) with all the aero bits to add more black and the Chrome and Gold alloys which when painted are now chrome and pink!! I also painted a Camaro Chrome Gold with the Black alloys that give you the Goodyear Eagle logo on the tyres.

I want to see if I can paint a Mach I '71 Mustang in the metallic green I saw in a TV ad. It had the chrome mag type wheels which had the centre part painted in the same green which is possible if they are there.

The FGT in my OCD atm is plain blue...

Was somewhat pleased to find that the Remote Racing was back up to its normal speed today. Instead of between 10 and 20 minutes from one race to the next it was back down to a much more normal couple of minutes.

Have just done the Suzuka 1000km endurance race in B spec. The whole thing took roughly 6 hrs 45 mins.

I chose a car that was 50hp more powerful than the highest in the typical opponents list. The first four hours I let it run unattended. Came back to check in on it and found my guy in 5th position and several laps down... also on the wrong tyres (I specified racing softs in the pit strategy selection but he was on hards).

Pitted him, changed to my best driver and soft tyres, then spent the next twenty laps or so whipping his behind to get him to unlap himself. Luckily everyone else was in zombie mode and I could turn in laps 15 seconds faster than anyone else. By the time I passed into first position I had to pit again, and nobody else needed to. That dropped me to fourth again (but on the same lap) and so I had to push the next guy too. Eventually I had a lead where I could pit and still come out first, then I had to maintain it for the next couple of hours to make sure they didn't drop the ball.

Unattended B spec must require a MUCH more powerful car if you want to be sure of the win. I can't imagine how many laps down I would be if this was the 24hr and I checked in halfway through.

Bit of a noob question, but when do endurance races unlock? Admittedly I haven't played this game for over a month now and still haven't finished all the GT life races but I haven't seen any endurance races available to participate in that require pit stops and tyre changes.

I think the first one is around level 25 or so? I don't recall as I unlocked them ages ago, and only recently started doing them. The Le Mans 24h can't be done until level 35, and the Nurburgring 24h can't be done until level 40.

Some of the lower level endurance races (and possibly extreme level too) allow for pitting but it doesn't quite work properly (if you read my comments a few posts back you'll see what I mean, the AI opponents pit twice in a row in the last few laps of a race). It's only in the really long races - 2hrs plus - that it justifies itself.

The Endurances unlock at Lv 25, though tyre wear starts to make its presence felt in some of the last normal races (no Pits Stops required though). Grand Valley is the first at Lv 25. The Indy 500 opens at Lv 28 which is reasonably quick (2 hours in an X2010) and gives good experience. The Indy requires a pit stop every 25 laps (on Racing Softs). There is no advantage to ever using Racing Hards, as they don't seem to last longer than Mediums.

Enjoying the resumed speed on the Remote Races. My Japanese account is now approaching Lv 33. My UK1 account has around 3 million in credits waiting!

The latest Seasonal is up there. It consists of some Kei Class races. Payout is around the 100K mark for credits, with experience around the 17K mark. Not too bad for 3 lap races. Best is the last race on the Eifel track as I can finish in under 3 minutes for 101K cr. and 17.8K exp. I have a fully upgraded Suzuki Wagon R RR shared on a birthday account if anyone can't be bothered to do an upgrade. The PSN is RogsB19730104.

Looks as if PD are now intent on giving everyone more races as all the Seasonal Race Events no longer have an end date on them and all the events that were there last week are still there, so a fair selection now.

My Japanese account is now at Lv 34 with some Remote Race results to pick up. My UK1 account, that I am using (6 drivers) to move the Japanese Account now has in excess of 6 million credits (and associated experience) to claim. They are on the account on which I removed all but three "Friends". Nice to be able to get a race going in around 2 minutes.

I have now run the 9 hour endurance race at Tsukuba, did it overnight. On a tight course like that I didn't need to worry about my driver falling asleep because there was always someone near enough to keep his meter rising. So in the morning I found him 17 laps up (despite the car only being marginally more powerful). Got a ton of experience for it, was well worth doing.

The only B-spec events left to me now are the two 24hr ones, debating whether or not to run them when I hit the required levels (very close to the Le Mans one now) as I don't think I could leave it unattended on such long tracks.

The longest Endurance I have run is the Suzuka 1000 Km which managed to take in excess of 7 hours (on B spec).

Just got another account up to Lv 35 B spec (RogsR34UK1), which gives me five accounts which have attained Lv 35! Next in line is my UK2 account which is up to Lv 30.

I have been using the Daihatsu Mira/Cuore on the K Class Seasonals (mainly Eifel). Best lap so far has been 55.376. Best overall in around 2:49. Not too bad for 101K credits and 17.8K experience.

Not been online with the PS3 for a while due to the PSN hacking. But wanna get back involved. Still lots to do on this. Some exciting races and I still have not completed prof mode fully. Plus some new seasonals I'm sure. The big tease with the track logos, I was hoping for the Seattle track or something as extra content.

just turned this on to mop up a couple of seasonals, and theres a new update (380mb)

                            quite a lot of stuff.

you can now customise your driver, new overalls and helmets, and take a photo of him for your profile.
prizes for seasonal events have been tripled
                            new 'expert' seasonals.
                            improved AI
interupting/resuming championships (works like a quick save i think, where you quit and carry straight on next time you switch on)

edit: cars in the online dealership are cheap, and 'new'... no mileage. just got a second polyphony F1 for 2.5 million.

Like the post above. Cheers for that info look fwd to this update.

The A.I felt improved saw a bit of aggression from them a bit more on the seasonal events I played. Lovin the idea of a championship save restart should have been in all along. Day To Live by Daiki Kasho is wicked too Jonathan Underdown`s voice is is great. Can`t fault Polyphony digital for all these great updates. The have added so many things. You could complain this should have all been in from the start, but their updates really are magnificent. Nice to pick new driver stuff too. All we need now is some new tracks let`s hope they`re thinkin about it.

I see that you can now win prizes in the time trial/drift trial seasonals - seems to be custom outfits for your driver. They are awarded depending on if you finish with bronze, silver or gold but I presume that doesn't mean only the first 3 winners get them. How do they divide the rankings?
