Went back to this again. A couple of nights of nothing happening but tonight I proved that the 1CC wasn't a fluke. Repeated it, this time beating my high score. Then did it with Type-C Strong. Tried Type-A Strong a lot but failed on the boss, you really need a different playstyle for this. Also tried Type-B Bomb, which needs a similar playstyle to Type-A Strong but you see new patterns on the boss due to your weak firepower. After continuously being frustrated with Type-A Strong, went back to Type-B Strong and repeated the 1CC again this time getting 3.7 billion. Good times.

Might try downloading 1.51 next time.

Tried out 1.51 tonight. It was quite fun, but with being able to go on hyper pretty much all the time, not as bullet dodging fun as 1.5

Also tried out Novice so I could check out the 2nd loop. Its nice that it shows you all the bee locations. The 2nd loop boss patterns were epic. And I was glad they included the TLB in Novice mode, he was epic too. Novice 2nd Loop is enjoyable the way that Mushihime-sama Futari's novice ultra mode was - slow dense bullet patterns, and possible to 1CC (or 2-ALL in this case) fairly easily.

Got my pal copy today! Only had an hour so far though. Lovely colour instructions too. Rising star really put the big boys to shame with their packaging etc.

Can anyone clarify the DLC situation with the PAL version vs. the JPN version?

Am I right in thinking both include 1.5, and the 1.51 version is DLC only? Was that the included DLC in the JPN ltd edition?

The DLC for the UK release is...

Black Label (includes BL Normal and Novice modes) - 800msp
1.51 (adds just a single normal 1.51 mode) 80msp

No Ketsui mode

Ah right - balls. Ketsui mode was the jpn ltd edition dlc then?

There was a budget price disc release of BL with the exclusive Ketsupachi mode.

There was no excuse not to include the ketsui mode with this.

I've still just bought it mind you, but it's annoying all the same. They could have included all the DLC for that matter.

Arrived in the post this morning, had a quick go but so far so good, managed to get to stage 5 on one 1 credt on my first go which quite surprised me. One of the better cave shooters in recent years, quite a few have been a bit rubbish and a bit generic.

Might be an idea to drop rising star an e.mail and see if they plan to release the Ketsui mode in Europe?

Just checked the leaderboards and I just raped the current top score, unfortunately I didn't play score attack.



Overall, I can see A LOT of time being put into this, maybe even more than DeathSmiles!
