The glide over looks ok, but I aint tried it yet. Do you have to glide to the wee tower to the left of Forest Haven ledge first?? As long as you change the wind direction it should be straight forward... no???

Am loving the game despite its Island start punishment... far too many great things in there to moan about it

The glide over IS ok..unless ur like me and you put the deku leaf away too soon... but like I said - I'm impatient! And yep Mardigan - you do need to go over to the bit on the left first and once you do that (which I did eventually) you need to make your way to the forbidden woods - but its not that simple is it? Those dam flying bugs 'things' just LOVE to get in your way! And lo and behold - I end up in the water again.. but thats probably just me.

I think the fall down to the water would be quite fun... given you are about 1000 FT up in the air no doubt the novelty of this would wear off after one plummet into the sea so a smooth ride over to The Forbidden forest is quite high on my To Do list. A Cauldron that gets you back up to the ledge would have went down a treat.

Only a couple years late again for me.

Nice game, though so far it's very frustrating and not all that much fun - going from house to hut to find a stupid sail.

edit: cute game of battleships tho

I found the trek round that village to be superb and a perfect introduction to sme of the games character interaction stuff. If you are interested,

The sail can be bought from the little eskimo guy who tells you about his ship being wrecked. He talks about selling you THAT, well THAT is the sail.

An absolutely superb game. Enjoying it immensley. Can wait to

get into the battles out at sea!!

i really need to get myself a copy of this... i'm just scared of how much time it'll take off me, i left college due to an OoT addiction.

Careful Crisp... this will consume you with its youthful charm. An absolute joy to watch in motion and provides everything we love from a Zelda world.

Flying to the woods didn't take too long. I've done the woods dungeon and Dragon Roost and am about to head out across the sea back to the north of the map.

I loved playing it and must carry on - unfortunately, Halo 2, Metroid Prime, and a few other things got in the way. However, I'm moving house and will be without Broadband for a while... so it's the perfect time to catch up on NGC stuff. And get better at Forza.

I feel like playing through again reading this. And this time I will get the Nintendo Gallery pics from the start of the game! Huzzah!

Oh and that Battleship game is superb. He is such a cool character that bloke. Also found in the JPN verison of Four Swords GC I hear? (In Tetra's Trackers). I doubt we will get as much character from the supporting cast in Twilight Princess but we'll see!

I'm really enjoying it now - midway thru the 2nd dungeon, but at times it is unbelievably frustrating, and TBH just urges me to switch it off and play Resi 4 instead.

Loving the originality and typical Zelda-style puzzles, but a few niggly bits are annoying.

I can still hear those pipes playing in my head. Not as good an intro as OoT but "emotive" in its own way.

I ain't playing this through again but dammit I'm feeling tempted.

It's a real shame that Wind Waker by many is considered to be the shallowest and most boring Zelda game to date.
I myself was very fond of the anime style graphics - it's cute, charming and a blast to play. Link himself could have looked a bit better, though.

I consider it to be the third best Zelda game so far; only surpassed by the obvious ones - Ocarina of Time and A link to the past. Along with Metroid a best buy for the lil' cube. I got the game on its european release, but I must confess to you, I still haven't finished it; them little Triforce shards are getting on my nerves!

I played this all the way start to finish (didn't do this with OoT it should be noted). The main reason I think was that the Mrs loved to watch and help solving puzzles etc - Normally when I'm gaming she's got her nose in a book the whole time but with WW she was practically forcing me to play it some nights - These types of game are few and far between.
