Got it this morning.

Seems good so far, really miss coins + jump tho

Ai have already cheated me out of a championship. Some courses seem very good, others seem a little dull tbh.

In summary, its promising - day off tomms will play all day and give it a proper chance.

VJ had me hooked within secounds, so far mazza hasnt - maybe thats me building it up as per usual !!

after three days, the game so far is great, got the last couple of golds on 150cc tonight, and unlocked the giant GP.
i also had a little go at time trials, and discovered i'm miles behind who-ever already posted in the time trial thread (sorry i forgot who)... but certainly something to aim for.
i think this will keep me busy for a while.

Ok just back from some multiplayer round a m8's.



Think that says it all really, however good is this game !!!!

Not had that much fun in ages, tomms (well today i guess) is unlocking day ready for some more multiplay later on.

Whats the deal about unlocking the extra battle arenas?
The four initial ones are crap. Block City is woeful compared to Block Fort in MK64.
I have been told there are more to unlock, and that they are larger (which is the biggest flaw of the four you start with) but from what i have read here it dosent seem like completing GPs is going to do it.

The racing is awesome, but battle is a let down. Played 4 player for many hours yesterday and we spent maybe 10% of our time on battle, partly because the racing was so bloody great, but also because battle didnt hold our interest.

If anyone has unlocked these please tell me they are 50 times better than the four you start with.

The first one you unlock is great, with lots of passageways and different floors, but the other is basically a big, flat, open surface that tilts.

In block city, can you actually drive around those block areas, or are they just there for show?

I got my PAL copy today (GAME online).

Few questions-is there that big a difference between the big karts ie DK/Bowser karts and the little ones? I mean the big ones seem a little slow for 5/5 stars however the small 2/3 star karts seem to zip along wonderfully, with much better handling.
Also, what exactly is the point of 2 characters and their swapping ability? Ok you can hold 2 powerups and I think you have different special powerups in some cases, but is this it? What are the advantages of pairing up certain characters over others?
Obviously 2 on one kart will be fantastic fun in co-op though.
