I've managed to a file online with a bunch of staggered save one of which is set after the first boss so I'll try that.

May resort to using a trainer if its low on augmentations or doesn't have any stealth weapons.
For games that support it (such as deus ex), steam cloud automatically uploads your saves to the steam servers, so when you log into steam, and download the game, it will automatically download your saves too.

It is, but I am enjoying it and it probably won't be game of the year but its still in the top ten and certainly feels a worth successor to the original. I wonder how mod-able it is on PC as I would be interested to see if anyone remakes the original utilising the new engine.

Good, but I can't see it making my game of the year list.

The third boss gave me the hardest bumming this evening.

New biochip and no lethal weapons

        = pain.

Barely started this tonight. It's been engrossing so far and time has flown by.
Killing everything that moves including the swat. It's those evil Augs that are doing it, Guv. Honest.

Only one thing is sticking out so far. WTF is wrong with Malik. Did they really get their receptionist to talk like a robot?

From what I can gather I've got 2 main missions left to go and I'm not going to lie, this was starting to really bore me last night. Towards the end it feels like it's lost all the interactivity I'd expect from a Deus Ex and has become purely Deus Gear Solid. For all it's flaws, it certainly feels like for it's time Invisible War was more ambitious. This reminds me very much of my Dead Space 2 experience, it's polished and well made but overall lacks impact and gets repetitive

Finished it this lunchtime, and yeah, it does start to drag towards the end.

              Ending spoilers:

Got some nicely placed save to get the 'see all the endings' cheevo. Never understood why games that go for multiple endings leave the choice until RIGHT at the end, which means all you need to do is replay the last couple of seconds or so to see them all.

The point of multiple endings is meant to be to get you to play the game again. At least the previous two Deus Ex games made you do something different to get each ending, this one is literally 'push the button for the ending you want'.

Sticking with my 7/10. Good, not great.

Just started this today , seems like a cool open world and i like the characters and the meglomania evil corporation and big brother feel spiced with blade runner , but im only a few hours in and i feel im being forced to take the stealth option, first your guns at start and shooting while in cover aint powerful enough, and if you do start shooting loads of goons come out , who are weapons specialists , its even hard to tranquillise goons and you mostly get spotted, then theres hardly any ammo, and in fire fight you run out easy, so this makes it seem you sneak around just stealth killing or knocking out, the animations for this are great, its an open world let me deal how i want to do missions.

There's loads of ammo if you search everyone you kill/knock out.

^ sounds like original Deus Ex, i.e.: the 'specialist' you start out with is good-for-nothing muppet?

Hes not a muppet cause you do start off with great augmentations for stealth kills, its just your part of this super corp , how can afford loads of kit and augmentations , but dont have enough bullets for the guns they give, i know its trying to get to explore and try things out, and the energy bar is a kinda pain too , at the start only stealth kill 1 goon and your energy is used, im still enjoying it, hopefully it opens out more and doesnt restrict your options. Plus if you dont kill or stun somebody how you get ammo Stu?

At the start of a mission why cant i go steal weapons or hack into some lab, more options please.

There is also quite a bit of ammo in desk drawers, hackable crates, etc. If you have literally no ammo you could also pick off a guard with a takedown.

                            Too long
Horrible bosses (#3 can eat my entire ass, and #2 was so stupidly easy it was pointless)
Drags toward the end (overly long to be fair for a FPS)

Yet I'd still throw an 8/10 at it. For me, it's a wonderful experience let down by some really odd decisions with the bosses, which perhaps say more about game design these days than anything else. That they couldn't come up with a more elegant solution to progress the story than how they did it? Well...yeah.

Also thought it suffered from either too small an inventory, or too many weapon options. I never ran out of ammo, yet I was forced to drop weapons and others, based on guesswork. I rarely used the Sniper Rifle yet hung onto it for ages, thinking I wouldn't see another (and I didn't for quite a while), and it took up huge volumes of space in my inventory. Yet more weapons toward the end, and yet more choice that seemed entirely based on guesswork.

In the last 3-4 hours though I just wanted it to end.

Agree with Jebus, it drags out far too long towards the end I was getting fed up

by the time you returned to china

. You pretty much got all the augments you wanted, the game didn't offer anything new gameplay-wise and the locations were no longer interesting.

The bosses were all pretty poor.

That aside, it was a lot better than I was expecting and I enjoyed it for 3/4 of the time.

                                Well, I'm still enjoying it.

On my second playthrough, trying to do hard mode / no alarms / no kills in one go. Currently just

back in Detroit for the riot

                                - been having a lot of fun along the way too. Think I've only fired 2 shots outside of boss fights, and those were from sheer laziness more than anything else. Now that I'm not fussing about hacking everything / exploring everywhere, I'm finding that stealth is incredibly fun and a very easy way to plough through the game.
